"We must boycott everything Russian. Why popularize the occupiers? This band lives in Moscow. They didn't leave the country in protest against the war. Whether they like it or not, by paying taxes, they are sponsoring the murder of Ukrainians. Every day, Ukrainian civilians are killed by Russian shelling. Last night, 10 ballistic missiles struck various cities across Ukraine. One strike hit firefighters who had arrived at the scene of a fire caused by an earlier hit (5 rescuers were killed, 37 more were injured, many in critical condition). In addition, hundreds of UAVs attack every single day. Today, a drone struck less than a kilometer from my home. Several houses were destroyed, and there are casualties — ordinary Ukrainians. There are no military targets nearby. That is why I make it a point not to listen to Russian music if the band continues to exist within Russia."

Would definitely recommend Eveale – Enter the Woodland Realm. US/UK black metal project with fantasy nature themed lyrics. A bit quirky in sound, but I found it to be quite a fun listen.

I loved venom back in early middle school, when I was trying to find out black, death, and doom metal back in the day in the record stores of a conservative country in the SE of Europe, and they were the only choice suggested by boomers 😅

Looking forward to new Draconian on Friday. Lisa original female lead is back. Even though recent female lead Heike L is now in REMINA, I am sure the legendary doom and death melodies and riffs will still be there!
