   Love your shirt. The new Panopticon is my favorite release and probably going to be my AOTY. Really like the Draconian and the new Yoth Iria is ok but not as good as the first two imo.

   I absolutely adore the new Draconian album. Probably the best thing I've heard in years. If you like the new Darkthrone album, you should try Sad Whisperings. Very old school death with modern melodies.

   My favourite release this week is panopticon by far. There is so much emotion and an amazing atmosphere in every song. It has been my favourite release of the year so far

    My favorites this week were Frozen Soul, Torchia, Yoth Iria, and Teloch Vovin. All very good.

    What I think is really is funny about the Darkthrone album cover. Is that Fenriz is holding a garden fork. I'm sure that he imagines it to be a trident. But perhaps he really dislikes gardening? I sympathise, I don't like gardening either! I like Darkthrone, despite myself. Like all metal they are clueless idiots. But it's the enthusiasm that they put into their innate stupidity that's infectious! Draconian are another group who basically make the same album, over and over again. But that's why it works. It gives the fans what they want, the same thing, ad infinitum! Poetry? 😂😂😂😂😂

    Draconian album is great and i gotta check out Memento Mori. Also that blooper was hilarious it made me laugh. Have you listened to Silaera – An Aberration of the Void? It released back in April and flew under my radar. It blew me away, great Atmospheric Black metal.

    Thanks for the recommendations this week. I didn't see Old Moons' Home to Nowhere whilst browsing bandcamp over the weekend and well this definitely got my attention. Listening to it on bandcamp as I type this. This is definitely ffo of Northern Graves who released Derelict Heart just last month. I do have to agree the vocal delivery is very much powerful with tons of presence.

    • Panopticon – Det Hjemsøkte Hjertet
    • IATT – Etheric Realms Of Night
    • Electric Sun Defence – Estuary
    • Torchia – They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness

    I was on top of most of these, but that Torchia was a new one for me. I am going to dive into it. If you have not checked it out, listen to the new Panopticon. It is absolutely sublime.

    Dark Throne just needs to retire, they seem to put out a new album every 6 months and the quality hasn’t been there for yrs and keeps getting worse. And, I’m a fan of the last Yoth Iria album, it was in my top ten of 2024, but this one after the first 2 listens has me shocked that this is the same band I enjoyed so much. Draconian is always great just haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet, but I’m hoping they continue where the last one left off.

    First off, I'm glad you are so into album artwork. I've always liked it too and a great album cover can sure get the excitement going! I wanted to comment though because I was wondering if you were going to review the new Draconian album? I'm so glad you did. I wanted to hear your thoughts on it. This is kind of a new style of music for me. So it had some moments but I hope the album keeps growing on me and I'll some day really appreciate this album and this group and their music. Misanthrope River is a great song. I really loved that and I'm glad it was a long cd. Thanks for the reviews.
