This video is making me want want to go buy an Intellivision Sprint right now but only 1 thing is holding me back. Way back I spent many many hours playing Intellivion and had many controllers break. I never blamed the product it was simply do to me using it way to much. This was never a problem as new controllers were always easy and inexpensive to replace. Just now I searched for Intellivision Sprint replacement controllers and found none anywhere online. I really don't want to have to spend another $149.99 to purchase a whole new system because 1 button on 1 controller is not working properly. I hope somebody out there knows where to get them. Thanks

would have been cool if you had the option for traditional controller overlay or a digital one that could change and even be used for some games if DREAMCAST doesn't try to sue for doing so.

On Cartridges – I think a cartridge slot would be more of a reason to buy the console also. I understand they may have games on old consoles within the console and for some you may be able to access the internet and stream content, but the option is always a great thought.

On Retro and Homebrewed Games – Would be cool if video game stores (maybe comic book shops) had cartridges and the rights to print labels for game cartridges, for overlays, and other similar items that go with consoles. Because of modern technology the framework exists to make this localized economy not only feasible but also legally credible, and would, like comics, allow the gaming community a location to feel more like a community.

Getting images on the game icons for the games within the menu that don't have images would be cool.

Got mine a few days ago, and enjoying it! But, watching this video, I came up with a strange idea (as I often do…) Here is a challenge for someone – Create a controller for the Intellivision that replaces the number pad with a touch-sensitive LED screen that has the overlays programmed in! (Or that you can install overlay images, just in case you have a custom-built game.) Any takers?

We had the first and 2nd Intellivisions.

It didn't like the controllers. I really tried hard many times to like them as a kid, but I always went back to the Atari 2600. Having said that, this was a great review!

I have all those games on chinese handhelds, this console is 10 years too late. I would pay for revamped versions of the games. Graphically it is very dated but gameplay remains sound.

The console that got me into gaming in the early 80s. This is an outstanding nostalgic piece to a gaming collector. I will be trying to acquire an old oddessy 2 system and colecovision system next year.

🤠…WOW. "welcome to the future". I remember playing "TRON: Deadly Disks" and "Night Stalker" using the 'two-controller' method; I became VERY proficient with two controllers. I think that Atari has paid homage with great respect to its former nemesis 🙂. BUUT–(not having held them in my hands), I think the flat-bottomed controllers would detract from my game. I seem to remember appreciating the concave bottoms of the controllers giving me(no surprise) better control.

NONETHELESS, thank you for the review.👍👍👍👍

    (I REALLY appreciate the nostalgia😊😊

My cousins had it and until I got an Atari computer I actually envied some of those games. I have an Intellivision handheld that hooks to a TV that has some of my favorites like Astrosmash and Night Stalker.

In the early 80s I received an Intellivision console from my parents. My two friends at the time had an Atari and the other had a Collecovision. On the advice of my friend because of the better graphics, I decided to get the Intelliviosion as a gift. Unfortunately the new version does not contain some games. Do you think it might be possible to upgrade them later?

I used to play Intellivision in stores as a kid and always wanted one, but had an Atari so no way I could own both. I just ordered a Sprint on Amazon – they are out of stock but hopefully they restock soon. QUESTION if you see this: is there a way to output the Sprint standard A/V inputs on an old CRT TV? That would really complete the experience.

Important question… what happens if you hit the reset button a bunch of times for a game?
Best game ever was Advanced Dungeons & Dragons when you were able to glitch the graphics. It was so cool!

I still have my original console in a very tattered box with about 30 games and overlays. I had replaced my buttons with the harder rubber replacements from Mattel.I will be getting the new sprint for ease of use. I can't wait to get back into those games

I was in college and owned an Intellivision back then and owned every game. I am so stoked to see this. Even at my age this and a 69 Dodge Charger will be my time machine 🙂

That was a fun review… Many late nights, racing cars or motocross or sports games with my dad… Literally until it was time to shower and go to work at 7 AM. This was our first console, so we had lots of games and many many hours. 63, still gaming, with a gaming desk and a racing rig right next to it… still play FPS games with my dad he was five hours away…

too bad you can't have both sets of games on the same menu…can you add their built in data to the usb? or do you have to add the 45 games the same way you set up the roms?

Oh cool! Just like the controllers I had on the original. And the carpel tunnel those gave me is pretty much healed. But seriously, those controllers were annoying.

Wow, that looks pretty nice! I had an Intellivision and ColecoVision as a kid, but not an Atari. Tron Deadly Discs was my favorite game. Snafu, Utopia, Shark Shark, Space Hawk were some others I loved to play.

I have an original intellivision and the controller is so horrible and the games compared to Atari are generic and boring af. That's my opinion at least. Atari was way better.
