Future award-winning best new metal album show 👌
Please do keep the album cover the week segment; I'm hoping that if we as a community show much appreciation for unique and good art, more bands will focus on unique and good art.

it might look like a small channel but it is definitely a grower…
    *ahem
voted for you "once" but my dear departed meemaw is more likely to have gone for 66Samus as she did love a good fart joke.

    we called him grandpa.
many congrats though, richly deserved. i remember when nik went on hiatus, you were asking where we'd find our new metal and i have to say, before and since, i get as much good stuff from you as i ever did from him, or metalbirb or ohrion reacts so yeah, more power to you.

I too broke my own rules of 'No Live Albums, No Compilations' for 1349's Winter Mass. They also won my AotY last year(I think 1349 has been a band that has won more Albums of the Year for me than any other, to boot. It just ended up working out that way!) Incredible live album!!

Blut Aus Nord could inch its way to best black metal release of 2025 for my taste.

Congratulations on the nomination, you have a candid and balanced approach to your discussions.

The plethora of AI generated metal covers only means that "Album Art of the Week" is more important, more vital, now more than ever. I realize that means more work for you, but I really enjoy that portion and hope you continue to include it. And by the by, that "Devil Master" tee is satanically kulty kool. I hope you didn't have to sell your soul in order to get it.

I absolutely love the 'album art of the week' section!
Love your show in general. As a teacher in philosophy en psychology, and a metalhead since I was 12, I finally found a show that combines my two passions. I discovered so many new bands because of you (I've been a subscriber since the early beginnings of your channel 😉), really want to thank you for that! grtz from Belgium, Raf.

We're pulling for you bro. Easily my most anticipated video every week. Well balanced and inclusive to all metal sub-genres. Album art of the week definitely makes your show unique and it directly combats the rise of AI covers. Keep it dawg! Thanks for another great week of recommendations.

Congrats on the nomination Jon, you put in the work and people notice! Loving that Phobocosm album, just might be my AOTY, at the very least will be in my top 10.

Album art is an important part of any release, but you're probably pretty damn valid to being burnt out on the segment due to AI and stuff. I love it, but being forced to pick one every week may be too constricting, and if you find it tiring, I for one would much prefer you put that energy into something that you enjoy.

Could probably wiggle it around if you really wanted to keep it, though. What if you made it an album-art of the month segment, like with the book recommendations?

Whether it stays or goes, great show this week: Blut Aus Nord was great, and Phobocosm really snuck up on me with how good it was. I cast my vote your way (with my alts), so best of luck on the awards! 🤘🤘

I love the album art of the week BECAUSE of the sea of generic "metal album art" out there and the neural net garbage some low effort bands are slapping on there, it's great seeing a highlight of some album art the stands out in the pack and shows a band who cares about the whole package when they put something out!

I saw Dream Theatre at Radio City Music Hall a few months ago and i said they nailed it. Not a missed beat the entire show. Afterwards, they said it was the best show they’ve ever done. My god, go see them live!

Congrats! Well deserved. You're my go to channel for Metal. Canada has always had an excellent extreme Metal scene with classic bands like Cryptopsy, Kataklysm, Quo Vadis, Strapping Young Lad, Dispised Icon to name but a few.
