Have you ever seen a movie on TV that got censored? You hear a line that got re-dubbed or changed to something else. You feel ripped off. Now movies censored for television are far and few between, so hearing a dubbed over movie now is kind of a pleasant surprise! TV edits were a goldmine and I was missing out. So let’s look at this unique practice from an almost bygone age.

9:00 Funny dub censorship but. There is a Falcon character in Die Hard 2 (Saw the movie some days ago), he is the Mexican guy who breaks free, "Ramon Esperanza" i am honestly pretty sure that they call the guy for Mr.Falcon? And who the terrorists is trying to break loose. But John is the one who tries to sabotage that process.
Either that or i must have pipes in my ears. I saw it on Disney+, i guess i have to rewatch it now to be sure that i didnt hear wrong : D

I swear I remember watching 1st die hard on TV once and he said, "yippee Kiy-a mother jumper!" In a voice that was clearly not Bruce Willis 😂😂😂

On added scenes, I remember on "Any Which Way You Can" the guy with the rattlesnake was shown eating his snake after it lost to the mongoose. His pal was like "how can you eat that?" To which he replied, "Twenty grand for this snake, I'm eating it," or something of that nature. Now it just shows him offering his friend a bite and he refuses. I'm not sure why they cut that scene? only showing it on TV. It was the early 80's.

My all time favorite Tv line change, I saw as a kid. The first vacation movie. When Chevy asks for directions and the pimp says "what do I look like Christopher Columbo?" That is ten times better than the R rated "f**k your momma". The actor actually performed the scene though. Outtakes I guess.

I’ll never forget “The Goonies” tv cut as a kid. They added that grocery store scene and the octopus scene that’s not in the theatrical. It messed with my memory for a while. Love the videos dude👽🛸⚜️

Do you have the ABC or CBS tv edit of The Last Boy Scout? It should be more well known of an edit. It is funnier than the more well known Die Hard 2 CBS tv edit and I think it is the same voice overdubbing Bruce Willis. I have seen The Last Boy Scout since on edited tv and unfortunately, it just silences the profanity.

6:33 I was of an age where Age of Empires II: Age of Kings was massively popular, but Goodfellas has become a staple of daytime like Saturday mid-day play that movie in AMC or something as a massive time filler due to its popularity and length.
Thus, I was always so intrigued when Tommy would begin shooting his gun at Spider’s feet saying “come on ya mamaluka!”
Not knowing how Scorsese knew about the unique unit, the Mamaluke, from the Saracens civ in AOE2, and what it was being pronounced incorrectly.
