another vid has crue wanting to replace MM with Jake e lee but needing MM's relative.$ backing….. nikki did get a MM tatoo on his inner thigh and MM almost cried; that was cool,

You have to be different many have talent But is it different? Mick or Bob. Knew so he dropped tuned to D and put his mind into RIFFS not scales. Like he says. After his concerts you can still Human the melody

Nikki just bleeds BS. It's always I stole "bacardi" or something else. Like he is some sort of non stop rebel. And most of the venues for bands were all ages if I remember back that far.

Interesting to hear nikki give mick his props here, acknowledging micks importance ti the success of motley and now he Vince and Tommy are trying the screw him out of his rightful cut of this band he helped form. There is no love here between these guys, I doubt there ever was. I hope mick wins this lawsuit. He deserves it. The only one who gives a damnabout mivk is mick.

Drums bass and micks guitaring that mix all together was the sound shedding all the time gets sickening rather the group in sync to get the sound . Go listen to vai or joe if you want shedding

Mick was cool first 2 albums then got boring. ToP wasn't all that good. It wasn't bad but nothing special at all outside Hone Sweet Home. GGG had 2 great songs but the rest were good but nothing great. Finally they hit stride with Dr. Feelgood aside from 3 songs. That album was pretty consistent. But still Mick wasn't anything special. He was good no doubt but nothing special. Bitched about KISS yet mimicked KISS a lot. 🤣🤣🤣

I met Mick at a record store called Music Plus back in 1984 in Glendora CA when I was 12 years old. I had just got done with little league practice and my uncle took me to go look at some albums. Our team was the Mets and I was wearing a black hat with a big white M on it. I hadn’t noticed him but Mick walked over to me and said “Hey kid. Does that M stand for Mick? Or Mars? Or Motley?” I was speechless. He reached over and took the hat off my head and with a silver marker he had on him added to the M so my hat now said “Mars”. It was my only hat so I wore it for the remainder of the season and proudly told the story every time someone asked why my hat said Mars. I don’t remember what happened to that hat but damn I wish I still had it. Still a fun memory though. Mick’s a legend.

Love Mick, total Pro!. imo he was the glue that brought all of the Crues iconic songs together to make them legendary. Thought of the misfit of the band by myself and many others I'm sure. I really came to give him the respect he deserves… long live Mick Mars!!!

Honestly, Mick isn't a super great guitar player, and he'll be the first to tell you he's no shredder either. But what sets Mick apart is his tone. He has a very aggressive signature sound. I once saw an interview where he discussed his tone and spent years perfecting it, while other guitarists scrambled to be faster or crazier than anyone else. He does have killer tone.

These podcasts really show what a shitty, horribly exploitive scene 80’s LA was, populated mostly by guys who were morons then and are still morons now. It’s hilarious that folks actually look back to 80’s LA with fondness. That god that shit is dead.

Funny he doesn't mention how they almost dumped Mick in 1984, but were talked out of it by Ozzy bassist Bob Daisley in a "lucky" meeting on the Crue tour bus. Mick is the reason Crue got anywhere, because at the time of their start, Nikki was barely a passable bassist. Yes, he got better, but he didn't start off that way. Mick was an experienced musician and veteran performer.
