Motionless In White DECADES Review + Albums RANKED

Metal Trenches | July 19, 2026

Where does Motionless In White’s discography rank from Creatures all the way to Decades (2026)? In this album ranking, I revisit every full-length release, break down the band’s evolution from classic metalcore into industrial metal, nu metal, and alternative rock, and determine which albums still hold up—and which ones are loaded with cringe. @MotionlessInWhiteband #motionlessinwhite #metalcore #industrialmetal #octanecore

There's many things I don't like about current MIW but I just can't bring myself to hate them, out of all the metalcore bands that turned octanecore throughout the years these guys might be the only ones I give a pass to 🙆‍♀️

Damn, not even gonna give credit to Soft, Eternally Yours, and Voices on Graveyard Shift? That's a yikes for me. Also, I've never heard the term FNAFcore and I hate it.

Comments aside, I really love this band for what they are and I love that they're doing their own thing when it comes to the metalcore scene, I don't care if they're cringe or not, they're still good.

I used to love creatures but then my taste changed so much. I tried to check out their new album and I just can't. Its just not it for me anymore.
But I LOVE the track Eternally Yours so much

Motionless in White are one of my favorite metalcore bands. Some may find their music cringe, but I think their music is fun. Their inclusion of 80s synths is great. Different strokes for different folks is what it comes down to.

I recall really like tracks off Creatures album too, but then they kinda like became Breaking Benjamin wannabes with their choruses. I’ll just listen to BB instead.

However, I like Ice Nine Kills..so go figure haha.

Been with them since the beginning.. one of the only bands Ive been following from the very beginning.. I love that they’re super popular but since disguise they have been absolute shit tier imo

Good reviews, everyone has their own opinion. Some lyrics are cringey, but it is part of fun and band doesn't consider them ultra serious, never have been. I like experimenting they do, nothing worse than having 5 albums of same exact songs and musical style.

Long time MIW fan and I will admit their industrial tracks are usually the tracks I skip. They have some good ones but most I’ll pass on. The thing that keeps me coming back it’s the heavy tracks. They know how to write a sick bleeding through worship riff into a massive chorus. The track Afraid of the Dark from Decades is a prime example of this. I don’t want Creatures 2 but I would like another record that’s 90% brutal. Liking Decades so far. Excited to see them live soon. The show they put on is absolutely insane

As a long time Motionless in White fan, great video and I was happy that you mentioned 3TEETH. I got into them because they reminded me of the industrial elements of Motionless in White that I enjoy. This album was a bit of a step up from their last album, which I personally enjoyed.

Not my favorite band, but "Reincarnate" is one of the best albums ever recorded for metal. It is perfectly paced, it sounds so crisp and bombastic. Not to mention bangers from start to finish. Every song could be a single.

I Remember years ago in a different video getting upset because you called them cringe

But I was so blinded because I’ve been listening since Infamous I was and even though I like this band a lot, I completely agree

I've been waiting for this Tier List for months even though I have different opinions than you 😊. But I still wanted to listen to you because I appreciate your videos and what you do. I also like how you show respect for metalcore and deathcore. Speaking of MIW, I really like all their albums. I found their latest work more cohesive than the previous one and much more flowing.

I mean if they’ve been cringe since the beginning then it’s not much of an evolution. Plus I have a hard time believing they want their music taken seriously. Respectfully, maybe they just aren’t for you.

I know it means nothing, but I love the lyrical call back to 570 at the end of “Afraid Of The Dark” with both the lines: “sweat blood from Stockholm to Scranton” and “if you mean it, you’ll make it”

While I’m not a super huge fan of these guys, they do have some good songs in my opinion. Would much rather sit through these guys than Falling In Reverse any day!!!

Probably a crazy opinion, and I also want to note that ranking their discography for me is based on the least amount of terrible songs (in my opinion of course) in the album lol:
Best: Scoring The End Of The World
    Great: Creatures, Disguise
    Good: Decades, Infamous
    Okay: Graveyard Shift
    Yikes: Reincarnate
