I worked at Arby’s for years, I can positively say that the roast beef comes in 10 pound bags. It takes about 2 days to thaw from frozen. The meat is basically liquid. It’s more like a paste tho, either way it’s not a solid “roast beef”— I’m sure some chunks of meat are in there but it’s literally a bag of meat paste. You throw it in an industrial oven for 3-4 hours and a solid “roast beef” comes out. It then goes into a heated drawer under the slicer. And it’s ready to open and be thrown onto the slicer— I have also seen people cut the tips of their fingers off. They are extremely dangerous but fuck minimum wage employees right? Lmao

Not from the states 😅 but in Quebec i think we prefer poutine over burgers but those feel like they got a similar decline, there's less mom and pops poutine spots and it's mostly big corporations with bad cheese, cheap sauce and fries that taste like the oil hasn't been changed since the store opened..

If you have two people eating at 5 Guys, you order one large fries for two. Still expensive, but a little better if you share the fries.
