Horrible news. The first album I ever owned as a kid was Destroyer by Kiss from '76. Ace and his music have been in my life ever since I picked up that album when it came out. I still have the original on my shelf. Ace made me a rocker before I was 10 years old and I've been one ever since. Two absolute legends now gone, Ace and Ozzy. Neither one will ever be forgotten and their legacies will remain as legends. Rest In Peace…

I'm truly shocked and devastated by this sad news. A great man has passed away, an immense guitar maestro. I'm 57 years old, and I received my first Kiss album when I was 10. Dear ACE; thank you! Eternal thanks for your enormous legacy. The immeasurable universe awaits you. We remain here, sad but filled with your creativity. ⚡⚡✨⚡⚡

Ace Frehley did not stay with Kiss until 2022. He quit 20 years earlier in 2002, when their farewell tour ended. Afterwards the "magic" you talk about was just Tommy Thayer staggering about in the Spaceman's plateau boots and make up. The point in time when Kiss stopped being a halfway relevant rock band once and for all. Not for replacing Ace with another guitarist (again), but for forcing the new guitarist to dress up as his predecessor.

    Rest in Peace, Ace.

I have always been a rock fan for decades now, and to hear of Ace Frehleys death is disheartening to all his fans and the rock world. While I am not a big Kiss fan, and I knew of Ace, I have never heard of him being called "Spaceman" that I read in his tributes. What and where did this come from???

❤ So sad😢 I got the privilege to see Kiss, of course with Ace on guitar in Oslo in 1996 and 1998. On their reunion tour.
That’s a memory I will have with me for the rest of my life❤
Rest in peace (or maybe in space) Ace🙏✨
