Brody Stevens frequently and famously told a joke about being cut out of “Funny People.” Judd recently tracked down that footage in honor of his friend.

Being such a sensitive soul I can imagine he was actually quite hurt about being cut from a movie called "funny people".
who's standup bits were actually used in the film then?

Everybody loved him so much huh? Conan says he was brilliant? Wow if only any of these hotshots would have said that to him while he was alive… who knows. How long did I know Brody? Since 2000 when he started as the warmup guy for Best Damn Sports Show… I miss him as he was an actual friend of mine while he was alive not just finding a seat at the table in passing. News flash Brody never liked any of you!!! Hahaha Enjoy it bitches

When I started my comedy "career" in late 2010 a comic who I thought was mediocre at best died in a car crash.
They praised him to the highest. I won't mention his name partly because I don't need fake L.A. comics here to pretend that I'm insulting his memory or something.
But they pretended that he was one of the best ever at the time. When I mentioned these things onstage a comic said to me, "comedians love you when you're dead, man."
Brody was good, but when I see this stuff I think about these things.

Brody was akin to Don Rickles and Pat Cooper. I saw Steven Brody Stephens material for the first time two days ago. To be able to move and create so many quips in no tim, his worst set would be any other comedians best of all time. He sold himself on the idea that comedy is love and he loved the audience, just pushing out the rawness of any attempt of getting a laugh he was like a blender with the audience trying to extract the most amount of energy possible. I wish I met him.

Why did they cut him out of at least two movies ? This one and the one about the bachelor party in Vegas. In fact he was cut out of both parts 1 and 2 .. so that means he was cut out of 3 movies .

It truly is great and sad to see these clips of Brody Stevens, a guy you just want to to put your arm around him and say, "Its gonna be okay. We are all in the same boat, push/believe." RIP sir

I wish people had seen this about him when he was alive. He had a really hard time believing anyone really cared and he was seeing signs everywhere.

In the last four years of watching Brody's sets on Periscope, I always wondered if this was a bit or if he really was cut out of Funny People. So glad Judd shared this with everyone. And it actually is funny.

Keep in mind guys, anybody could have accused Brody of sexual deviancy and Judd would disown Brody on the spot. Judd probably has never even talked to Brody Stevens. Judd Apatow isnt a real comic and all the real comics seem to just talk behind his back because he acts as if Louie was actually never funny, and anyone who believes in punching down is a racist idiot who feels elite to minorities.
