Interview With Tengger Cavalry Frontman Nature G on Mongolian folk metal.

BANGERTV - All Metal | January 2, 2026

We are deeply saddened by the news of Tengger Cavalry founder Nature G’s passing. We got to sit and talk with him about Mongolian Folk Metal late last year while filming our Overkill Global series.

May the Eternal Blue Sky find him at peace.

This is amazing. The video and sound quality are fantastic. I remember Nature and the rest of the band interviewing with Pedro from AP Reacts, but I don't know how you guys got the rest of this footage. Well done and thank you for this amazing tribute 🙏

RIP Nature. Got a chance to see them here in NYC a few years back, and it was a small but incredible performance. Nature was a class act.

So rough man I went to a random show they put on in Huntington wv, never heard of them noone was really there but I loved it so much I must have spent $200 at their table. Not only did I love their stuff but it was criminal no one was there I wanted to try to make it worth their while to be there. I will miss them.

Got to see Tengger Calvary December of last year at The Hi Hat in Eagle Rock Los Angeles for the first time and it was an incredible performance. Sad to hear Nature G has passed away. I bought their latest album from them that night and a few weeks later a shirt that I wore at an Ensiferum show. Sad I won't get to see him play anymore and feel grateful I got a chance to see him. Very skilled musician and the mask he wore was the coolest thing ever. Thank you for the incredible music. RIP.

I went to see them on their tour last winter. At that point in my life, I was having a pretty rough time, depressed and starting to isolate myself. Had to force myself to go because I couldn’t find anyone to go with me. But man, that show was inspirational. Wasn’t that familiar with the music at the time but it exceeded all expectations. Such positive energy from the band, returned by the crowd and back again. I left feeling renewed and rejuvenated, my spirit flying high again. I needed that reminder of how powerful music can be, the power of human connection and the beauty of life. Never got to say thank you to Nature and the rest of the band for that. So thank you, guys.

When I first started making a serious attempt at learning the guitar, I didn't really know what music theory was, and mostly just tried to figure out melodies by ear. I had just discovered the songs from his first two albums, on youtube, and was figuring out the guitar parts. It was fun catchy folk thrash, it was folk metal, but it was both real folk, and real metal, it was on a higher level than "folk metal 101." It had guitar and fiddle trading leads, it had vocals that very few other metal bands were doing, despite extreme metal's love for extreme vocal styles. I saw his band live, and circle pitted the entire set, along with a majority of the crowd, most of whom left drenched in sweat. I got to talk to him after the show, and congratulate him on the performance. Thank you for the music, RIP brother.
