Indigenous Congress for Decolonization: El Salvador Debrief
In January 2023, The Red Nation sent a delegation to El Salvador for the Indigenous Congress for Decolonization, which seeks to unite leaders, thinkers, Indigenous intellectuals, land defenders, and members of the Central American diaspora in a single voice in search of a new horizon to create a “pact that leads to Indigenous autonomy.”
This bilingual conversation, hosted by TRN comrade Justine Teba and titled “The State of Indigenous Peoples under the ‘State of Emergency’ in El Salvador,” took place in April 2023 with a group of activists who were also part of the Congress.

HUH! BIZARRE! Before US indigenous reach out to OUR distant cousins in Mexico, South America and Central America , Don 't you think you should reach out to your 1st cousins negro skinned US indigenous here in the USA. There seem to be this pattern going on US indigenous OVERLOOKING negro skinned US indigenous and going straight to Mexican indigenous, South America indigenous and Central America Indigenous. US Indigenous are DIVIDED. We never ever see red skinned and negro skinned US indigenous working together politically. Mexican, Central America and South America Indigenous are UNITED and working together politically. SAD!
