I’m trying something new. This video is only the sound portion for this topic. I’m still working on editing the visuals and will post a separate fully-edited video once finished. Let me know what you guys think about the format.
Today we begin our survey of the major indigenous cultural regions of North America with an exploration of the intricately fascinating cultures of the Pacific Northwest coast.

Definitely appreciate having someone do quality Indigenous history videos. I also appreciate that they're long.
Where are you and your people from?

It is very pleasant to listen to this stories. Thaks Anciant Americas canal for the link. But i have a feeling, it is too nice. You describe it as a real utopia. The slaves live nice equal life, till the human sacrifice. The indians live in balance with nature, till they set fire to the forest. The live on Pacific Northwest Coast wasn't just White, but Black a Gray too.

As I have lots of Indian (from India just to avoid confusion here) co-workers, the whole Potlach system reminds me a lot of their customs around weddings and funerals. Essentially one has to go through a long series of rituals and feast that essentially bankrupts most of them (my friends tend to complain a lot about it, as they (via their families) are still bound to the traditions although not living in the village there any more, where they could also benefit from other having to do the same or at least the social prestige they would gain).

i love how the tragedy of the commons offers private ownership of land as a solution to the problems caused by the private ownership of land. liberals must have to take a lot of dramamine.

Absolutely awesome bro , learned heaps and you actually spoke about the slavery aspect which is something I’m really interested in , and I see the differences but love the similarities between the more northern and southern regions of the Americas. ❤ and respect my friend
