Gaming has been my #1 hobby since I was 11 – which is 29 years now (damn I'm old).   But I love gaming because it is a way for me to get away from people, not interact with them.  For this reason, I have been unable to get into any type of multiplayer whatsoever.  Every time I try, I find myself thinking about all the reason why I love to play alone.  I am competitive though, so I love to talk about gaming in forums and post speed run times, scores, and various achievements that I'm proud of which sometimes take a whole year of trying to pull off.  You're very lucky to have people to play with that you are friends with.  I have a tight group of friends, but none of them are the least bit into gaming.  Every other gamer I've met so far is someone that I can't be friends with, which really sucks.

A couple weeks after I subscribed to you, I was watching some tournament videos of pm and I saw a comment that you wrote. Pretty big mind blow to see that haha.

DUDE I had no idea people did Smash tournaments. As a passive smasher, I aspire to get really good and pummel the crap out of my foes in competitive. (Super pumped for Smash 4, too. I downloaded the demo on my 3DS and I have to say that although I'm excited for Little Mac and Greninja, Villager's moveset is way too unique for me not to love him.)

Ok, so probably tottaly racist, but why do fighting games tournaments have a much higher percentage of black people than other genres like mobas, just for example i dont think there is a single black pro dota 2 player (there are plenty of asians, eropeans, and even a large south american scene), but things like super smash or mvc have all races/colors.

I wish you would have talked a little bit about the pros and coins of competitive gaming. As a female gamer I've experienced a lot of sexism at super smash tournaments and after melee I never went to a tournament again. I know some of it has to do with the area I was in, but I don't think that's uncommon behavior at these events. Maybe in a future video you could discuss it?

I love the shit out of smash bros, I got a wii u specifically so I could buy the new smash bros game when it comes out. I'm not very good at it though.

The only reason I don't like Project M is because one time, I thought it was brawl, and I sat down to play, and because of all the subtle differences it screwed me up sooooo badly. LOL I totally go to tournies all the time, or I used to, gotta get back into it now that I'm in Atlanta where they do it. 😀

    Hi,
I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate people, and You among them who live out their competitive nature in competitions with other competitive people 🙂
(I know people who are competitive but only want to prove themselves against uninterested people.)

I think there's an actual name for this phenomenon that I'm forgetting, but have you ever encountered something once and then suddenly it starts popping up in other completely unrelated areas of your life? I've been playing a lot SSBM lately and watching tournaments for the last six-ish months. And lo and behold so does the1janitor, a youtuber who's videos I've been watching, also for about six months.

I used to be very competitive with my guitar when I was younger. I hated those school band guys who had houndreds of facebook pictures with their instruments but couldn't even play a simple scale. That's why I played up to 6 hours a day. I realised much later that music isn't about competition at all. But the good thing is that I aquired a lot of chops due to this "psychosis".
I would like to see a rant about something. Maybe some social situations.
    Peace
