    i had peaople tell me the way i cook is DISCUSTING to then just BEG to have more of it when it is above theirs, i thought of years ago to pre-cook checken half way THEN bread it THEN finish it to avoid burning "eww gross you do that?!?!?" to when a "professinal" dose it the SAME THING i have BEEN doing "that is a good idea!"

    8:59 ohmygod, i used the app called Just The Recipe, you paste a link to a recipe, and it just gives you the recipe. Ingredients, directions. No life back story. And theres a free version, but i pay the like 12$/year to have them all categorized and i use it alllll the time. Its awesome.

    This was the best video i saw in months. I just wanted to hear about masterclass but i could not stop watching because, this was entertaining as heck!!!!!

    Gordon sometimes doesn't know what he's talking about and repeats old myths that have since been disproven, mostly by Kenji. Gordon's a fantastic cook but he's also probably gonna tell you that searing meat locks in the juices or some garbo. You'll learn how to cook well but sometimes you will get the theory of it wrong.

    A lot of the things you mention as "he teaches you why you do something as opposed to just repeating stuff hes been told" is actually not accurate either, these things were disproven ages ago. Keeping the root on the onion doesn't do shit! Salting the eggs at the very end is the 2nd worst time to season them! He's repeating this logic because he was told this was why, not because he actually knows the science behind food
