I tried to take my temperature on stage before the speech began but all I had was a rectal thermometer and I wasn't about to put it in my mouth. But then I got so anxious that I got so anxious that I got so… basically a chain reaction from reaching critical ass, and then I shit myself. My biggest mistake was that I didn't practice in an empty room, nor a room with windows. Before the soul-sucking critic could heckle me about talking out of my ass, I had already unleashed a butt-load of verbal diarrhea. The best advice is probably just to do a 3-day fasting before my next public cognitive defecation.

Why have I never heard of Ze before true facts about the octopus? His talent is massive.

Kind of wish I had found this video BEFORE having to take a public speaking class. I absolutely hate speaking in front of people. I also dislike the sound of my own voice. I passed the class fortunately.

Mr Frank is absolutely correct about Spaulding Grey. He was a unique, funny genius. I feel like the world is diminished without him in it. If you can, watch his monologues.

These are all really GOOD tips. One thing that I would add is if you need to pause a few moments to reorient yourself, do. It may feel like forever to you, but to the audience it will not be – you will just appear to be a thoughtful speaker.

A fourth grade teacher in my church surprised me by saying that being a lay reader made her nervous. I said, "You speak before a group five days a week." She said,"But in church they are listening." LOL
As a singer I found the most liberating thing that could happen was to crash and burn a couple of times and see that the world keeps on spinning. No more stage fright.

Know that you know your material. Then fall back on the material you know.

I have spoken before others a few times and Ze's advice is super good. Especially that 1. The audience ppl won't dislike you and are likely impressed already with you being infront of them and 2. Of course you will be great 🙂 Do it. Try it and you'll most importantly impress yourself too.

I've literally watched everything at this point. Every tiny ZeFrank morsel.. even the TedTalks.
A.Remembered the days of bread on the sidewalk.
B. Remembered he talks faster than I type. (Or think, for that matter)
4. The duck wasn't in the bar!
9. Spalding Gray.
Thanks for reading.
