Horrors From an FBI Database

Farrell McGuire | August 8, 2026

The FBI’s ViCAP site is arguably the scariest place on the internet. This is no ARG or internet horror project. The horrors we’re gonna explore today are all 100% real.

the reason why reconstructions look so uncanny is because they need to enhance features that might identify you, so if u have smaller eyes they will make the eyes veryyyy small or if u have a big forehead they will make your forehead veryyyy big etc

Wow, im very familiar with the grateful does case and have seen it discussed over a dozen times on various videos over the years, and in every one they show the same picture of his likeness, and despite how many times I've seen that photo, include had always thought it was a drawing that was colored with crayon or colored pencils. I had no idea that it was a photo of a clay model of his likeness until it was mentioned in this video, my mind is absolutely blown , looking at it now it is so obviously not a colored drawing.

I believe the uncanny valley is explained through the theory that in our anciant past we weren't the only bi pedal humanoid animals on the planet, and our fear of the uncanny valley is our ancient instinct to fear creatures that are shaped like humans, but when you see them you just know they're not. To me it seems logical that our kind would have competed with any similar species to our own and over time we became the dominant species and the others went extinct before recorded history.

This is why i like fallout. I imagine walking through an old museum after war looking at all the old stuff destryed its uncanny look unsettling enough to keep you on your feet but also you understand its just in your head.

11:50 I like the idea that we have the sense of uncanny valley bc at one point we had to be able to recognize a human species that wasnt ours.. casue at onenpint, their were many different human at once no?
