History’s Weirdest King and Queen Deaths
Kings live some of the most extraordinary lives of any human beings. They can have seemingly limitless wealth, power, and time to do what they want. But one thing seems to mirror extraordinary lives: extraordinary deaths.
The kings on this list have some of the most unusual, sometimes painful deaths you may ever heard of – from a mouthful of molten gold to the nastiest case of gangrene you can imagine. And while some of these deaths were ordered by the hands of others, some of them are just outright bad luck.

These stories are wild! 😂 I can't believe how many kings went out in the most bizarre ways imaginable. Charles II sewn into wine-soaked sheets? Alexander taken down by monkeys?? And don't get me started on Herod… that's nightmare fuel. This was both hilarious and disturbing—great job as always, Weird History! 👑🔥

It’s good to be king. Except for the unending threat of somebody wanting to murder you, your heir waiting for you to die with covetous eyes, your spouse usually can’t stand you, (neither can your haram women, depending what country), your brother, nephew, (or their family wants to BE you), and waiting for poison. From any of the above and more. Idk. I’d rather just be a Duke lol, hanging in the countryside, murdering helpless animals, (at least they actually ate them), and keeping my head low.

The Edward II poker death has been pretty much debunked.

Any chance that you could use pictures that are related to the narration? My favourite royal death was about the French king who was chasing a servant girl through a castle and smacked his forehead against a low door with slightly fatal consequences.

Only a cake amateur doesn't know you need to match Minimum 1 x cup/240ml measure of unsweetened tea with a SMALL dash of milk optional per standard cake portion to survive if you are a healthy adult without diabetes!
Well, without, yet… to be fair…
I should just admit that this was bad advice and say
DON'T do as I do, or say…
🤦
Thanks Gawds I'm not a scientist 🫣

Wasn't William The 'Conquerer' invited over by the English people but not the King and supporters?
I might be mixing up the many invaders in the UK leading up to and around the time because it wasn't anywhere near the era I studied back when I used instead of soothed the ol' grey matter….,?

How have I lived so very long without ever hearing of gangrene of the genitals? That is nightmare fuel.

Edward II dying from a poker through the back passage is not accepted by any historians, the story first appears well after he died, which was probably by suffocation or starvation in his prison cell.

I just LOVE your videos…documentaries – the subjects, the incredible narration (rarely does a narrator match the content)…'The Voice' puts out a bit of irony and a bit of sarcasm. His pronunciation of Asian Historical figures is phenomenal. Narrators either under-play the content, including volume and mis-pronunciation – or dominate, they take the attention away from the video). The content and visuals of your videos are very entertaining.
Oooh-wee…I think necrosis (gangrene and maggot infestation) of the genitals really is adequate punishment for Herrod's role in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ = Karma. If that's true, though, I was Hitler. The fact that I'm living on EBT in a part of homeless downtown that resembles a third-world country proves it. I've found one of your playlists and hit 'Loop Video'😁. My cat and I are good for the night – thank you.

Is it some running joke to introduce Edward II of England with a portrait of some random 17th century person or something? This is the second video in a row I've seen that happen.

How many pictures of the wrong Charles II were used in this video? I’m done with this channel. Every video is rushed out, half researched, with click bait titles.
