Government Shutdown: Trump Signals Talks as Democrats Refuse to Budge on ACA Subsidies
US President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, said he would negotiate with Democrats over health care subsidies, a move that could open the door to resolving the government shutdown that has stretched into a second week. Democrats say they will not support the bill unless it addresses Affordable Care Act subsidies that are set to expire at the end of 2025. Bloomberg’s Kriti Gupta reports.

My opinion about to shut down is if they can't get along send them home hell I remember back in high school if you can impeach one president you can impeache the other, don't tell me you guys can't and besides you guys were the only ones voted him in again when I'm scratching my head wondering why because of the intersection January 6th that should have told you people what he was about so now look who's got egg there face that's why I don't vote anymore today because it's overrated

Here is a possible solution: Change the income threshold somewhere in the middle. For example: Use a $45k income threshold instead of $60k for the person to qualify for the ACA premium tax credit. BOTH side need to give up a little.
