The move to start selling cheap merch did not do good for them. Better ways to use the time, like focus on selling the product, developing it, making deals with customers.

It was pretty easy to recognize the scam once you started to think about the technology and look into the people running the scam. I definitely don't believe a some no name startup is somehow making something the biggest battery makers like CATL can't with their army of battery chemists and engineers.

Also I find this line pretty funny, "finnish news outlet YLE". I mean, yeah, they are a news outlet, but the name comes from yleisradio, which is public radio.

10:43 "reached the safety limit of 90 degrees Fahrenheit."
I highly doubt it's Fahrenheit. In fact, if it were 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the battery would not be usuable in real world applications.

I'll say this on the top of solid state batteries: a literal physicist has said repeatedly that you cannot squeeze much more out of battery technology than what we currently have available. Why? Because the energy density of a battery is the store of strippable electrons per unit volume/mass. We're already using the best atom there is for that job. The only real way to get more energy is to have a source of oxidation that you aren't carrying around with you. That's called combustion in the most common forms or a fuel cell in more battery adjacent terms. The mythical super battery will never exist because it's physically impossible to produce such a thing. Not in this universe.

I think this guy was able to fool people at least to the tune of 25 million euros. I just have no idea why people invested in this guy if they had read any of the stuff he had done in the past. His past is kinda sketchy business wise. Btw just 8 months before he published this so called miracle battery he declared that one of his other enterprises had developed worlds first real AI.

Whether an unsubstantiated claim is made by Donut Lab, Elon Musk or anyone else, we should declare it as fake until it is independently verified. Frauds like these do not deserve to be given the benefit of the doubt.

As someone else has already said, if this was legit, they would simply demo the tech to one of the main manufacturers, like Panasonic, who would write them a check for infinity dollars. No marketing campaign, and no YouTube needed.
The fact that they are doing all of this media stuff instantly tells you that it’s a scam.

this is theft pure and simple. the corporate officers should face criminal charges and be forced to make restitution to their investors. this is what should happen, but i won't hold my breath.
