What the hell is he talking about, about Inside The Electric Circus? That the band looked more glam? Unless you were thrash, that's basically what all the bands did at that time. That is, without question, one of WASP's best albums, hands down. And, certainly heavier than the two records that preceded it. I liked Blackie switching to rhythm guitar. Bone crunching tone.

Zoltan Bathory has been hosed , That is not the original Skull Piper B.c. Rich the skull is completely different . Unless the original had the routing filled in with something then rerouted , then repainted , different tailpiece .Thats just not that guitar . I know,,, I have 30 pictures of the guitar Piper played in 84 . The guitar dude is holding ,,is NOT IT, measure the route and tail piece

I didnt know the bc rich warlock came out in the early 80s thats the same guitar slipknot plays so wasp is the first metal band to play on the bc rich warlock which is blackie and randy plays a dean i think close to dimebag darrel guitars

OMG! He did what I've always wanted to do. The first thing I always said I'd buy first if I became rich is THAT GUITAR! I'd love to see it up close and personal. I bought a basic black Nagoya Warlock new in '84. One store in my state sold them. It was mega expensive at the time. Before BCR were mass produced on a scale like they were later. The store jacked up the prices over the catalog prices. I can't imagine how much a custom USA with a new one off hand painted graphic would have cost then.

Zoltan Bathory – "It's Randy's original Warlock. The same pickups and everything!!"

~ cuts to side by side images with the guitars having different inlays and pickup configurations.

    Me – "hehehe….sucker."

Seeing you guys focus on metal content do you think you could play some metal stuff in the background instead of serial killer music

That is not the same guitar! Take a photo with your phone and compare it to the one he says is it, you be the judge, but it’s definitely different

My first guitar was a beat up Kay hollow body electric with a trapeze bridge and 7 useless knobs.
It was a piece of junk, but i learned how to play and I got a good ear,…
My second guitar was a bright red BC Rich Warlock,. which played 100x better,. I was able to shred and not feedback everytime I turn the amp up,.
I loved that guitar,.I was in heaven,….My neighbors?,.. well, …Let's just say they didn't like it as much as I did.

He made a decision based on the album cover, what a chode, inside the electric circus is a phenomenal album, personally my 3rd favorite overall behind the self title and headless children.

Interesting, Electric Circus is my all-time favorite WASP LP. When Helldorado, Dominator, and Gogotha came out, each damn near knocke Electric Circus from the #1 spot – but in the end it prevailed. AND I'm not a huge fan of the first two – especially WASP – it sounds like a high school jam (and not a super great one at that….)

no shit! WASP was the 1st band I ever saw live opening for Maiden on the Powerslave tour & it was the koolest thing Id ever seen (until Eddie hit the stage of course) & I was hooked on them to this day. Piper had the koolest BC Rich's. My fave was the "fang" BC Rich he played in the Blind In Texas Video & the "pipe" axe was pretty bad-ass too. Those coupled w/ the wild fkn style Holmes brought & Blackie's voice, they were above the hair bands but not really in the thrash metal arena either. Tht is till, like the Zoltan said…The Electric Circus. I was also like WTF. To listen to former members though it was all Blackie. He pretty much held tht band in an iron fist as he prolly still does. My only ever interaction w/ Blackie, he was "polite" but kinda douchie unless ya had tits then he got real polite all of a sudden. I still own 2 Kerry King BC Rich's & theyre My go 2 shredders everytime but Ive ALWAYZ wanted one of those BC Rich Black Widow bass's Blackie had! Love My axes.

I remember seeing Randy Piper's warlock for sale, but the seller wanted the ungodly amount of $30,000.00 or something ridiculous like that. Yeah, it's Randy's original custom Warlock but I'm just an average Joe Schmoe, who doesn't have that kind of money to spare. I'm glad Zoltan bought it. More power to him. It's good to know that the guitar is now owned by someone well-known and who that guitar made an impact on all these years. You know that he'll appreciate it, play it, and take care of it, unlike some collector who will just let it collect dust. I wonder whatever happened to Randy's "pipes" guitar. THAT is one I always wished I had. Or at least a copy of it.

King of Sodom and Gomorrah is a jam though. The title track is good as well. I don't need no doctor is a rocking cover as well. I'm alive is good as well.

Notice how gay Johnny Rod looks next to Jackie in that gay glam photo. Ahhh thats why Jackie wouldnt come out of the tour bus to meet us fans. She had better things to do like Steven Riley and Johnnie Rod. Straight Queens there!!!

I agree w/ both statements! Maiden after Number of the Beast, & WASP after Blackie quit bass & went glam w/ Electric Circus SUCK!!! I NEVER BOUGHT ANOTHER RECORD OR SAW THEM AGAIN!!! SMGDMFH!!! RIP!

B.C. Richs aren’t made the same today as they were back in the 70s to mid 80s. I was about to order my dream bass, a custom Warlock Supreme like Nikki Sixx’s black one. When I asked for pics, the bodies weren’t cut like the originals. I addressed that issue and was told that was the way they made them. Needless to say, dream crushed!

Am I the only one who (except the obvious classic like Wild Child) doesn't appreciate Last Command that much? The Electric Circus was quite good and the best songs were featured even better on the Live…In the Raw (which is one of my all-time-favorite-live-albums).

I think that is the core of the problem. It doesn't matter if the music is good, people are visual creatures, especially today. Few years ago I played WASP and Motley Crue for my friend. He also loves heavy metal / rock n roll but was a stranger to those two bands. He liked their songs, but as soon as he saw what Motley Crue looked in 1985 during the Home Sweet Home video he started to have negative emotions about the band. He even had a problem with Dokken's Breaking the Chains video.. now I agree that totally glammed look is stupid, especially Motley Crue, WASP during 1985/86 but come on, the music is still there and it's good! Inside the Electric Circus is a really cool album and to be honest I think I listened to it more than The Headless Children even tho I know The Headless Children was a better album. When it comes to the outfits during Circus era, WASP wasn't even done with their tour and they changed it to something more fitting to their style and they looked normal with Denim and Leather. I don't care if the band looks like a chick who I want to fuck, if the music is good/badass I am happy cause at the end of the day that's why I am here, to crank up their music. Maybe I'm deaf but I really don't have a problem with Theatre of Pain or Inside the Electric Circus.

i love inside the electric circus! i grew up on wasp (a friend played them for me in 8th grade around 03), but i didn't live through their height so i def have a different perspective than someone who enjoyed seeing them as albums came out. i have "wild child" tattooed across the front of my legs like above my ankles + i also have the wasp saw blade tattooed on my wrist! this was an awesome interview. so glad i found this channel.

that is cool he has Randy's BC RIch …the sad thing about it is that at one time Randy probably needed money and sold it . The 1st W.A.S.P. album is the perfect metal album…Inside The Electric Circus is my next fav ..The Last Command is a bit to dry and overproduced. As for FFDP thier 1st album is a masterpiece…every album after that is less and less impressive. They definitely found a formula and stick to it ..you take take most of those song from those album, mix them up and all sound like they came from the same album

I'd like to know how he came across that guitar…..pawn shop? estate sale? auction? friend sold it to him? There's got to be a story there.
