We can move forward if we can agree on a factual belief, usually with education and dissolving the old belief. Thats long term. Short term is more painful FAFO.

We would need a supermajority for the next 10 years to even have a chance to fix all the republicans have broken. It would be opposed by all republicans and a corrupt supreme court. Every law passed to restore and strengthen our democracy would be challenged all the way to that vary corrupt court . Gerrymandering, voter suppression, criminalizing get out the vote movements are and will be in place for a long time. We would also have to flip many red states and rural counties to stop all that.

My favorite part of the Kennedy vs Patel bit was when Kennedy asked, "Why would you even get into beastiality?" To which Patel seemed to misunderstand the question and answers he didn't know why people get into beastiality rather than answering why he and the FBI changed a statute even dealing with the subject. 😢We finished a renovation for USAID last year in Madagascar, one of the poorest countries in the world, and as soon as we finished, USAID was shut down and over 50 people lost their jobs not to mention the collateral damage done to the country by the ending of the program.
