The band was pretty close during the recording of RTS. The difficult album to record was Trendkill. All four guys are on record saying RTS was the best or 2nd best album of their career. It's their Sabbathy album, very old school.

My pick is The Distortion Field by Trouble from 2013. I know they still play live and have been promising a new album but it has been 13 years since the last one so this does make them eligible

Thank God for your content. Thanking also, Butch Jones for his Lizzy fanaticism. I had only known The boys are back and Jail Break. Although I had listened to Ace Frehley do Emerald. I was like blown away and now I am really digging in. Love it. Thanks guys. Johnny the fox now playing.

Day 21 everyone's favourite, humble, man of the people ad genuinely lovely guy guitarist. Obviously, no longer with us. For me, I always preferred is mid-late 70's releases, preferring his rockier edge to the more blues influence. This isn't his best album- longer to record, more musicians, dealing with declining health, and yet…
Rory Gallagher- Fresh Evidence. A number of strong tracks, and as ever, wonderful sense of lyrical insight of the characters that inhabit his world. Think of Steely Dan, Bon Scott, Tom Waits and their affinity with certain flawed characteristics- kind of similar, but a different vibe with Rory. Some great songs still- King of Zydeco, Kid Gloves, Middle Name, Walkin' Wounded, Slumming Angel are strong enough together to make the list
Day 1 Oceansize- Self Preserved While the Bodies Float Up
Day 2 Anathema- the Optimist
Day 3 UK- Danger Money
Day 4 Empyre- Relentless
Day 5 Larry Gowan- the Good Catches Up
Day 6 Lou Gramm- Released
Day 7 Ring van Mobius- Firebrand
Day 8 Strawbs- the Magic of it All
Day 9 Blue Nile- High
Day 10 SAHB- Rock Drill
Day 11 VDGG- Do Not Disturb
Day 12 Riverside- ID
Day 13 Billy Joel- River of Dreams
Day 14 Portishead- Third
Day 15 Colosseum II- War Dance
Day 16 Talk Talk- Laughing Stock
Day 17 Tommy Bolin- Private Eyes
Day 18 Gerry Rafferty- Rest in Blue
Day 19 John Miles- Upfront
Day 20 Faces- Ooh La La

#10 Johnny Cash: American IV: The Man Comes Around
The forth and last of the “American Recordings” produced by Rick Rubin are the highlight of this legendary series. What has undoubtedly contributed to his posthumous fame is the fact that many songs serve as a testament to this unique singer—most notably the brilliant and heart-wrenching cover of Nine Inch Nails’ song “Hurt,” but also “Personal Jesus” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Johnny Cash’s 67th album (!) has made him immortal once and for all.
#11 Jimi Hendrix Experience: Electric Ladyland
#12 Sonic Youth: The Eternal
#13 Black Sabbath: 13
#14 The Police: Synchronicity
#15 The Smiths: Strangeways, Here We Come
#16 Thin Lizzy: Thunder and Lightning
#17 Kraftwerk: Tour de France Soundtracks
#18 Richard Wright: Broken China
#19 Fleetwood Mac: Say You Will
#20 Roxy Music: Avalon
#21 Richard & Linda Thompson: Shoot Out the Lights
#22 Death: The Sound of Perseverance
#23 Janis Joplin: Pearl
#24 Leonard Cohen: You Want it Darker
#25 The White Stripes: Icky Thump
#26 The Allman Brothers Band: Hittin’ the Note
#27 Amy Winehouse: Back to Black
#28 Warren Zevon: The Wind
#29 Gentle Giant: Civilian
#30 ZZ Top: La Futura

I am kind of torn on what should be considered Frank Zappas last album, but I will mention them both. The Yellow Shark is the last thing released during his lifetime, but Civilization Phaze III was completed but not released until after Frank died. Both of those albums are very good. Some of Yellow Shark are orchestral reworks of older pieces and performed live. The orchestral version of G Spot Tornado is amazing. Civilization Phaze III is a dense album, with plenty of call backs to even the early Mothers. For me it is incredible, but not something I listen to very often.

I'd like to wish a Happy Father's Day to all of the guys. Even if you don't have children of your own, if you've reached a certain age there's a really good chance that you influenced or encouraged someone younger than you.

Hello people! Here's another artist that I have their entire studio catalog. It's Simon and Garfunkel and the album is Bridge Over Troubled Water. This is my favorite album by them. It has 1 or 2 songs that I'm not crazy about, otherwise it is very good. As always, enjoy the music and take care. 😊
