Had one trip in Melbourne where I had to text them where to find the key as soon as we got to the doors.
Then proceeded to tell us "you have to walk 3 blocks down this way and then cross this road and go around this corner to a 711 and tell the guy this secret word and he'll give you the key"
It was so funny and awkward 😅 we were walking around with 4 HUGE bags (because I was setting up at a convention) and awkwardly asking for this key from a servo worker.

the one airbnb me and my partner were at for a week had a lovely owner, it was the cheepest bnb in town and was very clean and he even offered us some of the fish fry dinner he was cooking up hehe, he also helped us get a new can opener and fixed the air conditioner too 😁. We had some really nice chats with him too and we def plan on staying there again 🙂

amazon doesnt even actually deliver.. its contracted out to independent companies so that amazon doesnt get flack from back delivery service and costs

I had this very experience 😤. Place was crawling with bugs and mites so I sent Airbnb all the picture and video evidence and they refused to refund me. Of course the host was denying everything. Submitted a claim with my credit card as fraud…had to stay at a hotel.

A word on real estate. Not being able to buy a home until you're 35 isn't unusual. Buying a home is and always has been expensive. That's just a fact. Yes real estate prices are up….but that's not why you can't buy a home.

42:22 oh dear lord, a vermonter Airb&b slumlord. i wonder if that person knows how disastrous those have been to our great states housing market. yeah, burlington has very strict rules for airb&bs, for a reason. they’re terrible for everyone besides property owners, which most people are not. i will never be able to own a house in the state of my birth, where i was raised, my home, all because of these people. Meanwhile, theyre out here complaining asking for a petition to make it easier for them to slumlord other people across the country. parasites.

The one time I stayed in an Airbnb, it was horrendous. The only heat was a space heater, which was too dangerous to leave on when I wasn’t there, which meant my cat wouldn’t have any heat (this was in winter). The hot water only lasted for about 3 minutes every 20 or so, I had to lock the fence EVERY SINGLE TIME I went to my car, even if it was several times in a row. How did they enforce that? They were clearly watching me. There was NO SPACE in the room, as it was filled with tons of nonsense tchotchkes. It was a catastrophe, and I left after one night. NEVER. 👏🏻 AGAIN. 👏🏻

After watching this video, I can now see why my city made new Airbnb laws. It's insane the saturation of airbnbs versus homes on the market. I never took a second to even think about this!! Thank you for the video!!

Went to a concert a couple weeks ago with my best friend and we decided to get an Airbnb instead of a hotel. The place smelled SO bad that my best friend was gagging. It was a mix of mildew, pee, and old man cologne. 🤮
