28:30 I recommend Rivka Weinbergs book The Meaning of It All for a detailed look at the process of ”nothingness becoming meaningful”. Its essentially the argument that there is no ultimate meaning, barely any cosmic meaning, only everyday meanings (points to live, not life)

22:00 martin seligman's flourish (2011) might be a good start for defining happiness and well-being. he also loathes how happiness isn't a particularly useful word, especially when dealing with it scientifically. he argues that perhaps flourishing or well-being might be a better goal in life rather than happiness. positive emotions, engagement (flow), relationships, meaning, and accomplishments, these all make up the stuff of a well-lived life. and wouldn't you know, thats exactly what robert is trying to describe!

The two channels that have shaped a large part of my growth over my time of watching them. This video was something I only could have hoped would happen. I'd love to see more conversations with both of you, even if its not a regular thing.
