question! whats the limitations in regards to max msp patches? trying to find a device that can mangle the crap out of samples (idm-ish) since it can run max patches i assume it can mangle, but why have i not found anyone doing that? norns looks to be the closest but i need a mod duo user input.

Are you ever going to upload the patch you used? Nine months is a long time, so it's either that or produce a baby per gestational period rules.

It's crazy how many different hardware and software platforms you seem to be competent with, and it's not like some of the other demos that are detailed but like "hey, this button controls the cutoff frequency." anyways, thanks for the vids

@benn jordan I am fairly new to this. Currently I am using a MIDI keyboard that goes into my laptop, into Cubase MIDI tracks, and from there the MIDI goes to the MD X, so basically I can record my performance and reproduce it any time I want. Would this 'MIDI routing' over such as Cubase be necessary also when using the Novation Launchpad X, to achieve the same recording goal?

Benn! This is the video I needed to see – I have an LPX and a MOD Duo and thanks to this finally got round to setting up the midi between the two – this sounds killing by the way – more crazy sonic challenge videos please 👊🏻👏🏻

Wow. I'm a bass player always looking to expand and this vid gives guys like me inspiration to try something that, on the surface seemed totally off the menu. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Benn, just bought one on your advice, as even a muppet should see this potential. Also I just spent the last four days listening to endlessly cheap pedals hoping to find what I was looking for, or just looking for my life!, or perhaps I am indeed the muppet! Love the MDX concept , I think it's time we all got away from all that religiously boring VST/AU conformity and as a creative ball of flames explode into the future of something else, current creative folds have soooooooooo last their way……… but we all gotto pay dem bills and brainwash each other into thinking we all cool man…………love your ethics, love your spirit, thanks again.

For effects specifically, Beebo or Mod Duo X? Quite the price difference, and Mod Duo X has beefier internals I think (speedier) but curious on your thoughts?

EDIT: I watched the rest of this while I was here and man, the Mod Duo X is super, super, deep (Jeremy over at Red Means Recording has some nice content on it too) – but dang.

Great video forced a terrible GAS situation. Can Mod Duo X generate midi from audio?. You know, like those midi pickups… arggghhghh me likes.

Its an interesting concept, to make something so accessible anyone can make music with it. In a way I would say its true but when things are so on rails it actually stop creativity. Or rather the art is in the programming it to be 'anyone proof' tho once the parameters are set I also see the versatility would also be pretty set as well.

Maybe im wrong, I would love you to challenge this.
