We all grow old — there’s no way around it.
David Coverdale, thank you so very much for your wonderful songs. I have loved your voice, and to me you are one of the greatest hard rock singers of all time. I first saw you live with Whitesnake at the Loreley, enjoyed your songs with Deep Purple, and Burn is one of my all-time favorite songs. I also listened to your solo LPs, and I truly love the song Northwinds. Enjoy your life — you can look back on your work with deep satisfaction and pride.
    Warmest regards – Gunter

You are amazing & I don't care how R. Plant felt about you; you have always been unique & all your own! Don't ever think you didn't mean the world to so many of your fans – you DID MEAN THE WORLD!!! Enjoy Lake Tahoe, if you're still there, & enjoy your family & friends in a nice calm state. My Dad died suddenly in 1987 & I really needed you to help pull me out of the sadness; my Dad thought you were THE BOMB! Hugs & kisses forever, Emma (The Bay Area – Los Gatos & Santa Cruz Mtns.)

let's hope that this is his first and last goodby.
Not just a fake farewell like by some bands, who meanwhile make a 10th or 20th "last" tour.

I'm going to paraphrase here, but one of my favorite things I ever heard him say was that a career that spread that many decades as a singer couldn't possibly be attributed as simply about his hair. 😂 🎉

Well, I have to admit that I'm very saddened to not only like so many others as fan's that we're all so very much missing several of our rock star heroes that have sadly passed away, and some of them so unexpected such as Ozzy and Ace Frehly, but it's just so hard to know and understand that they're human beings just like the rest of us, and eventually they either get suddenly sick with something terrible, or as in the case of Ozzy, we all knew that he had been suffering for several years with Parkinson's disease, but just really didn't know except how bad it had gotten until just a little bit before he was doing his last show that would have been more likely a bit of a tour instead of the last show he'd ever be able to do But the point is that these people are human beings just like us all, and even I myself for so many years never thought about these types of things happening to them, because I just always had this mentality that they are and were invincible, and nothing could harm them or touch them like that. But then it's also a case like David Coverdale here who has been such a huge part of our rock and roll and metal lives, but he too has gotten much older now, and has finally decided that it was time to retire and call it quits. And I am just like a lot of them who are definitely going to miss you David! I've been such a huge fan of yours and Whitesnake since the late 70's, and maybe even back to the mid 70's because I know that you also were involved with other musicians and bands before Whitesnake. But I will wish you a very huge fair well in your retirement, and I also would like to say that I sure hope that you did completely recover from this awful sinus infection you had, and very much wish you good health and some "R&R" with it bro! Have a good one, and peace to you. (Ernie Wilber) 🤟💀🤟✌️

Dave's a conceded old man, never talks online to any of his fans…Ever…
he lost his singing voice as far back as 2013, so I understand why's he has quit the Biz…
    only being honest…

That's cool, go out with style David. I saw you about 10 years ago, great show! The crowd pissed me off though, lol. Still of the Night has memories for me and my wife when we first met, wink wink, nudge nudge.

Now Vince Neal and David Lee Roth need to retire. Oh yeah, the "Boss" Bruce needs to retire as well. And at least David Coverdale realized he wasn't going to be able to sing like he used to. So he did the honorable thing, the right decision. And retired. His memory will be good. Because he didn't ruin it by continuing to try and sing…. For money! I seen Vince Neil and David Lee Roth… In their prime. And they were amazing. No BS! Same with Axle Rose…. Why it's disappointing to see what they've become. WHY?! Because now, it's definitely ruined my experience when I seen them and how they sound.

Class and style! I became a huge fan of David Coverdale, when "In the Still of The Night" came out. Then I realized he had other or older songs, "Slide it In", "Slow and Easy"…. etc …etc….. Just great Rock n Roll music….. and a phenomenal front man with an incredible voice! I respect and admire his decision. Enjoy your retirement! God Bless David Coverdale….we love you! And oh yeah, he was in a band called, "Whitesnake" lol. It's ALWAYS been about David Coverdale though…. Even with all of the amazing musicians he has had.

"Slide It In" started my Whitesnake journey, and I have every cd and download. I have seen Whitesnake twice with different members but kicked my ass just the same! Thank you, my friend, for all the great music that sounds as good and fresh as it did 35 years ago. I'm holding up a frosty adult
beverage in your honor so, "Here's a
    toast to ya!"
