Late Night with Seth Meyers | April 21, 2026

Seth Meyers takes a moment to address some of the errors from this week of Late Night, like not knowing that Senator Bernie Sanders has a musical album and that a barrel is a measurement of oil.

Why does your Bernie sound like he's in a room that's slowly filling with water? Like at the beginning of the sentence it's spot on, but after a few lines it starts to sound like he's being pumped full of helium 🤔

Yeah, writing almost 1 week late, I know, but must say get your ass back in the studio & put out another "This is the Kind of Story We Need Right Now." I was reminded of your series when I read/viewed the near-Herculean rescue of Molly the Border Collie. Molly cheats death with the help of strangers. Google it.

I vote for Episode 146 actually. This is what I wrote in the comment section: This was such a joy to watch. Seth's chipper attitude was infectious and had me smiling throughout. He was clearly in high spirits. He gave us so many gifts – Animal Flubs Flubs, Andy's video, Daryl's new action figure (congrats R.D.!) and accompanying Jim and John story. Thanks to graphics and sound for the opera iguana's new song. Too bad Seth missed it.😉 With such a wonderful, 20-minute episode before summer hiatus, I will definitely thrive in your absence. Have a great summer break Seth and team. Thank you for your service!

    141

I'm probably too late, but after rewatching all three contenders (And being highly disappointed that 161: Buck the Kick-it didn't make it), I think they're all great, but I think 141 takes it.

But I think in honor of Buck's departure and his deeply felt absence, please reconsider submitting 161. I want to keep living in the snow globe please.

    Corrections:
-Not a correction per se, but during your Bernie impression the camera zoomed in and out very slightly to try and capture your arm movements.

-I love your shade at the other recent winners of the Emmy in your category.

-My Lai Mascara was good. Could also have gone with Tréla DeTears.

-Can’t believe we also had McCat and Butthole for Eggs but still no Animal Flubs.

Seth, to make the pronunciation of cloaca easier, just call it what we do here in Australia… "ya clakka", as in "Hey buddy, why don't you stick it up ya clakka!!"

Still waiting for a correction on a Thursday, March 5 monologue joke in which you claimed that Inter Milan (rather than Miami) visited the White House after winning the 2025 MLS championship, which would have been bizarre in so many ways, not the least of which because they were probably in Milan that day.

Seth, Colin Jost just named the cold open you wrote about Katie Couric interviewing Sarah Palin as his favorite of all time.
BTW, how are you doing with that challenge to not mention SNL for a year?

Been missing a lot of Mac Tonight trolling lately; I can't believe no one sent you this music video and you didn't talk about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4k1t1Misrk

Fantastic guitarist, but the video…. oh, the artistry and the horror of being possessed by a crescent moon.

Imagine having your face replaced with the one that you hate and fear, only to succumb to their unequivocal power.

Hey, uh Seth, in Jimmy Kimmel's video on youtube this week named "Trump Tries to Hijack Next Election, Attacks Newsom’s Dyslexia & MAGA Official Resigns Over Iran War", he mentions in his monologue that he doesn't know where his baby teeth are. I believe this is either a call for you to check your collection, or infringing on your bit 😉

CORRECTIONS: Well, maybe this isn't quite a "correction" in the classical sense but I believe we're owed an explanation. When Seth begins the "monologue" he says "..we're gonna get to the news." But when he ends what he himself just announced as the "news" he says "that was the monologue everybody." WHICH IS IT!?

I know it's not very jackal-like of me to lavish paise, but the Lindsey Graham is my single favorite character in the Seth Meyers universe. " I KNOW MEEMAW! I'm telling them how much I like those skits right now!"

In all my years watching the show, never felt the urge to post a Correction until now, to call out the obvious mistake that was the utter silence accompanying Seth’s epic and inspired rendition of Bernie and the Jets. That was peak Meyers, and I’m ashamed of all of you. Attention must be paid! Break out the Buck laugh jar! 1:25
