After his Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson is back with his very first standalone movie as Captain America – Captain America: Brave New World! It finally gives the new Cap a chance to shine as he watches Thaddeus Ross kind of be the main character.

Captain America: Brave New World definitely raises some questions. Like why is this movie basically a sequel to The Incredible Hulk? Why isn’t The Hulk here? Why doesn’t Bucky help out at all? Why didn’t they have Betty Ross show up and give an emotional impact when it was actually needed?

To answer all these questions and more, step inside Ryan George’s Pitch Meeting for Captain America: Brave New World!

I still find it hilarious how the woke far (stupid) left thinks every ethnicity has to do every role in every movie once. So we got a black Captain America (who sucks), and next we need to change him to another race – only like 30 different races to go worldwide. But also, we need every gender, so its like 60. But we also need any disability, so we have like 600. But then we realize there are infinte woke genders, so we need infinite many versions of every movie for every role.

Wait, what was this supposedly all about?

I've seen this movie and I cannot remember what happened. Umm, Celestial Adamantium resource war, The damn president is Red Hulk. The end fight was silly. Thats… thats about it…

I was practically screaming at the screen when none of the characters believed Isaiah Bradley could possibly have been mind controlled when he tried to shoot Ross. Are you people in the same franchise as the Winter Soldier, and the Mind Stone, and the Red Room, and Scarlet Witch? Handwaving plot devices with "it was mind control" is like your whole thing.

    Mining rights?! Super tight.

Reminds me of when Star Wars had all those scenes involving senatorial meetings and trade negotiations. So hot.

Committee meetings, international contract law, mining rights.
    Mmmmmm.

If everything is explained in minute detail, I'm going to be so wet.

The movie is officially 1 year old!!!🎉

I saw it on Presidents Day at my local cinema
    Worth the wait

With this version of ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross he’s a man dealing with his own history as much as his own temperament
But who is really pulling the strings?
We also get the appearance of Red Hulk, it’s no mystery who it is but how did this transformation take place and why?
Sam is much more cerebral than Steve being he has to look at the answers further before going all out, he’s a people person consoling people at their lowest
The 35th MCU film goes back to that spy espionage political thriller vibe but looks to retain some of the comic book elements all the movies are known for
Plus you look at the timing when this is released right after our most recent election but its purpose isn’t to score points in politics
The movie itself manages to be above average; it doesn’t surpass the previous Captain America movies
Audiences are probably still adjusting to Mackie taking over for Chris Evans as Steve Rogers
Steve gave us something to believe in while Sam gives something to aspire to
Im glad they kept 'Incredible Hulk' and 'Eternals' in continuity
It’s really enjoyable to see Anthony Mackie as this new Captain America, Harrison Ford does wonders playing the President with charisma and given the most depth although we don't see Red Hulk until the very end, and some of these other side characters feel like an afterthought
I wish they did more with whoever was pulling the strings going all out
Some of the rewrites are noticeable for sure making it uneven
The conspiracy angle does have that ‘Manchurian Candidate’ feel to it though
The filmmakers definitely keep the ball rolling from beginning to end never losing momentum with solid action and performances
And they put in a special Easter egg for fans that might lead to finally seeing the X-Men in the MCU!
If we can't see the good in each other we've already lost the fight, pressure and responsibility makes you wonder if you'll ever be enough, it’s one thing to admit our mistakes and take full responsibility let alone running a whole country doing it
It’s a better viewing than ‘Winter Soldier’ with tighter pacing and being more dark, gritty in nature while also giving analogues for real-world problems
I’m truly looking forward to seeing what bigger stakes are involved with all of these superheroes eventually coming together

    A 3.5/5 for me

The drugs in in the marvel universe must be awesome. You can take a shot of steroids and turn into anything from Captain America to sentury and pop a pill and become the hulk with special extra powers on top

I commend Tim Blake Nelson for trying his absolute hardest to be a serious and threatening character, although his voice and face and body and whole shtick as an actor is not that at all. He's trying really hard and I am aware that there's just not really anything he can do to make him seem threatening or villainous

Oh my God I just realized what’s going on in the world. Trump wants Greenland because he thinks it has Adimantium just like the celestial head. Maybe he thinks Greenland IS the celestial head. This changes everything.

It still has one of if not the worst quote I can think of from a recent superhero thing I've watched outside of she hulk.

Ross is gonna do a lot of war crime stuff and his advisor is like sir we can't do that it's wrong and he says something like "I used to be a war general, I guess now I'm a war president" me and my friend started laughing so hard
