    ur story w the guitar is far too relatable. so much of "learning guitar" feels focused on learning how to play other people's songs which i'm just not as interested in. i have so many original melodies in my head i just really want to know how to play. so a lot of my guitar journey in the whopping 5 years i've been on and off messing around on it is just trying to play random chords to see if they match what i hear in my head lol. even improvising is more fun to me than learning a song. i guess all this doesn't help considering i'm self taught ofc lolll

    Do this for drums (if you haven't already, it's been 2 years so you may have … Or may just have stopped uploading all together I don't know I just got here) guitar hero drums transfers over to real drums surprisingly well, I learned the real drums thanks to guitar hero

    22:55 Drew is genuinely an amazing musician, I know he downplays it for comical effect but this part made me feel so at peace and relaxed, it was really nice

    Something my teachers would always tell me is its a lot harder to play well slowly than to play well fast. Given that both then and now, i can do neither well, i dont know how salient the advice is, but i can say that playing the swan was a LOT harder than when i managed to pull off a fuck ass arrangement of "i want to live in america" in my school string orchestra
