I was a senior in high school when he died. He was just starting to get popular too. People knew who he was. But he wasnt as huge as he had become after he died. They didnt make a big thing about his death in the media. They may have had a 30 second spot on MTV and played it every now and then, and thats it.

Randy was just messing with them, I am sure. At 22, I'd do the same thing at a "Séance". In a Kevin Dubrow interview, he says Randy was hilarious and wasnt the angel everyone thought he was. It wouldve been like him to fake that message.
