You have to do NOTHING personal via internet. No banking, no healthcare, no licensing, no taxes, no insurance, just be 100% worthless. The scams are exhausting and getting dangerous. 😢

Watch out friends. Scams are everywhere. I'm an IT person. Just selling a mirror and they sent me a ridiculous text about Zelle not accepting from a corporate account etc. CASH on hand or do Zelle in person. Scamming is getting crazy

This is NOT A NEW SCAM… I worked as homecare aide and this happened to the elderly lady while I was there… LUCKILY I AM FROM THE HOOD… and new right away it was a SCAM… They demand payment in gift cards and it was not a hostage situation. Someone disguising as her grandson was claiming to be in jail and needed to bail out of jail /// Police could not help…

if you read the lines in between you realize people just have 0 situational awareness. dont accept random calls, random mail, random emails, random voicemails! did we forget about back then people were sending anthrax and bombs in the mail? do we still not get the concept of ip grabbers in 2026?

My phone is set to Do Not Disturb. So these scam calls go to voice mail. Few scammers leave messages. I set the phone to accept those in my Contacts, only.

And just think about the fact that we now have AI that can mimic people's voices so that'll be the next step in the scam if it's not already happening. So you could actually be hearing your loved ones AI mimicked voice on the other end. Geez, this crap is scary!

PSA 911 can be texted via phone. If you are in danger or need to hold someone on the phone, TEXT 911. I've seen too many cases where someone's in danger and can't call 911 and could have sent a text message last resort. Make sure everyone you know is aware of this.

As a paralegal for 17 years in law I can confirm that scams are at a record high. We are under siege by everyone around the world trying to scam people and we are weak and stupid.
