    Since this seems the most appropriate and recent video to say this on: Sonny Curtis has passed, age 88 (May 9, 1937 – September 19, 2025). He was an original member of Buddy Holly's Crickets, later rejoining after Holly d…. He wrote "I Fought The Law", "More Than I Can Say" (huge hit for Leo Sayer), "Love Is All Around" (the Mary Tyler Moore theme), and other songwriting credits. Not the hardest rocking name in history, but his songs and work (with Eddie Cochrane and others) stand the test of time.

    Rick Derringer, Ozzy, John Sykes, Marianne Faithfull, Clem Burke, Rick Davies, Paul Mario Day, Nisse Karlen, Jürgen Bartsch, Brian Wilson, Brent Hinds, Sly Stone, Atomic Steif and now him… Not a good year for rockstars. Not a good year…😢

    Very sad. He and his band At The Gates were a big influence on my bands and my guitar style. We covered alot of their music. His time with The Crown was amazing. Also Lock Up, Nightrage, Disfear, Skitsystem, Grotesque, The Great Deceiver, just to name a few. RIP Tomas Lindberg!!!

    That really sucks. Terminal Spirit Disease was the first album I heard from ATG and it was one of the albums that helped me through some challenges. RIP Tomas!

    At The Gates and the whole Gothenburg scene made me a full fledged metalhead. I love the classic and thrash and trad death metal but when I heard at the gates and in flames my world changed forever . RIP

    Sad news. I actually drove the guys from At The Gates to an autograph signing event at a record store back in the 90"s. Unfortunately due to a series of chaotic events, I didn't get to see them play live that night. However, Thomas and the other ATG members were really nice guys. I fondly remember them singing along to the song "Snaggletooth" as I blasted Motorhead in my car during the drive. R.I.P.

    R.I.P. Tomas. He and ATG meant alot to me when I as a teenager played in my first death metal band. I was so amazed and puzzled first time hearing the album "With Fear I Kissed the Burning Darkness". So melodic, so complicaded, and so unique. He will be missed alot.

    Really sad to hear. Slaughter of the Soul and At War With Reality are really great albums. And the guy was a social studies teacher too. Sounds like a loss for his community as well.

    Nicely said Pete. If you need a few weeks to have Chris, Steve and/or Nick from Hudson Valley Squares join you on the At The Gates album ranking, even better.
