I remember being on a middle school field trip when the West Explosion happened. A large portion of the family on my dad's side lived and still do live there. My great aunt and uncle lived relatively close by, and I think the thing that saved them was that between the area they lived and the plant was a relatively tall railway embankment, that probably deflected the most damaging part of the shockwave. Crazy to think about sometimes.

Nobody thought Antarctica was the end of the Earth.. Until relatively recently! Because why trust science when you're always right? 🙄

Thank you for pronouncing GIF correctly. I totally agree: If a guy invents something and pronounces it wrong, that doesn’t mean we all must also do that, too.

As in “gift” without the “t”.

For your information, Joe, I listened to this video while driving, showering, walking my dog, and working. I actively watched maybe 30-40%

Don’t worry Joe, you won’t experience catastrophic decompression sitting in that chair.

FYI, Best saturation diving movie( though secondary) is The Abyss . That movie is strangely relevant today with all the UAP stuff going on. That was a huge part of that movie and the alternate ending.
    Second best- Leviathan
Best B Rated- Deep Star Six

5:39 "Just" 530 miles to go. In antarctica. With no motorized equipment. On a completely unexplored, frozen continent.

And if they had 530 me to go then they also had to take those 530 milis back. which meant that the total uncompleted distance they had to go (if they didn't want to just die at the south pole) on that first expedition was 1,060 MI

1:54:38 no doubt that CEO was paid millions. All of that money should've been confiscated by the courts. If a man starts a business and fails, he suffers. Why do CEO's who don't even have the creativity behind the org end up free from consequences?
