It pisses me off when other men say there's nothing wrong with boys being preyed on by grown ass women and that they wish that would've happened to them as kids. And people are always quick to jump on the stories you see in the news about these things and say "If this was a man she would've been done much worse" yeah, no shit, that's part of the problem! I hate the fucked up logic that boys don't need to be protected and taught that women can be predators too.

As a black man, I’m appreciative of videos like this because it’s not topic that is discussed often.
I got SA’ED when I was 19 years old by an older woman who well into her 40s. It was a traumatic experience for me. It took me years of therapy to wrap my head around the trauma. I hate it when men or women make jokes or don’t take victims of either gender seriously to win points in the gender wars discourse. Reading the comments section about how other men have been SA’ED makes me feel more seen and less alone in the feeling. My heart goes out to any victim of SA or abuse! ❤

I had a homie who got sucked into this crazy cycle of sexual abuse by one of our female teachers in high-school.
It really really fucked him up. This was 20+ years ago and it effects him to this day, its some real shit.

I was SA-ed multiple times by multiple women. When I tried to report it, everyone, men and women mocked, gaslighted, and victim blamed me. I was called every gay slur there was. I was told I was a liar. I was told to relax it was a joke. I was told I must have misunderstood because it is not possible for women to do it to men. Finally I was told that I was a gay slur, again and again and again. I was sexually harassed by a woman who was my HR director. I was sexually harassed by her assistant, meaning I was harassed by an entire human resources office. There was no one to report to.

I came here because I've been seeing people, or rather little boys, justifying and joking about male SA victims, usually at the hands of women. And as a result I want to be more open to the male experience when it comes to issues like this, because there's a drastic, and sad, difference in how male survivors and female survivors are handled in both media, fiction, real life, etc. And that honestly scares me, as a woman and a human being.
And reading the comments only made me realize just how widespread and normalized male victimization has become, where safe spaces are now limited to YouTube comment sections for people who have nowhere else to go.
To anybody who has gone through any form of sexual abuse or violence, we need your voice, don't let unimportant people deter you or tell you otherwise, because there are people who want to hear it, including me.

i was 14 in junior high when i was punched and kicked by my "girlfriend" at the time. so i left her and when i moved on to a new girl she played the victim with tears and all around all her friends. she convinced my new girlfriend to leave me. im not gonna say i was the perfect boyfriend but there was NOTHING i did to deserve that. im 22 now and i still think about it. how easy women can get away with abusing their boyfriends and theyre not only not held accountable but that its an actively good thing that they hurt their boyfriends.
i will not lower my voice, i will not be silent.

Thanks for making this video and speaking out about it. I see the symptoms of the traumas all over "black" social media, especially groups on TikTok. I had my own negative experiences as a preteen by a close family memberwho was a teenager. It's hard to put it into words, but the effects are long lasting and the scars run deeper than anybody will ever know unless you've been through it, unfortunately. It's hard to tell people (only 4 people know- Me+ that person + 2 cousins who saw some aspect or know something about it (one of them was with her at some point as well)).
I'm starting therapy now, and after one session I'm already seeing benefits. Please talk more about this, playing "house", "doctor", etc, or just child neglect and unsupervised children in the black community. Too many people show the bad parts but don't acknowledge the mess that's been plaguing us for generations. The stuff that's within our communities that everybody turns a blind eye to do they can "mind their own business". Thanks. 👍🏾

When I was a freshman in high school, I was the victim of SA/CP. I had gotten drunk and had gotten dirty so I needed to shower when one of my “Friends” decided to take a picture of me. And possibly sent it to other people. It was only years later when I was researching this I realized what had happened. I don’t really tell people this for the same reason that is I don’t trust people enough. But since I am still healing from this I wanted to just come here and say this. Your voices matter and you should never feel afraid and alone because of what happened to you. (Yes my assaulter was a male, but that does not matter).

Supporting men's rights means supporting male victim rights and male survivor rights. Many countries don't recognize mens rights to be seen as a rape victim. Male victims rights matter and male survivors rights matter. We need a bigger men's civil rights movement.

A big part of the issue is that a lot of men don’t even have the vocabulary to express or even understand what happened to them. I’ve known male survivors of grooming who didn’t even know something wrong had happened to them until someone else introduced the concept of grooming (usually in reference to women victims) and then they go “Hang on a second…”
Seeing that moment of dread realization is sobering.

Thank you for talking about this kind of stuff. I have a father who was deeply traumatized by some of the stuff multiple female figures did to him when he was young. My dad has been a macho man his whole life. He always used to talk about how he doesn't care about himself and whqt happens, just his family. My dad has struggled with self harm and hes made attempts at his own life but by the grace of whatever the fuck is out there he is still here, when he shouldn't be. But so much of his own self hate and torment has come from that, not to mention he's manic BP. Over the last year, after we had a massive scare and argument as a family, he has went to therapy for the first time in his life and went on medication and stayed on it. Unfortunately due to the circus that is our government rn, he had to graduate therapy and group early because his insurance cut support. Either way, its just good to see people care in a world that feels entirely apathetic.

It's actually quite sad how many men I've met that bragged about being with an older woman at an extremely young age. And I've had to say, that was SA; all of them denied it except for one. Too many times I've seen men write off female assaulters of young men.

i am a female survivor of CSA. i’ve never understood the people who say that men can’t be raped. i do not care your age, ethnicity, social status, gender, or anything of the sort, you still went through a terrifying and traumatic experience. you are a victim as much as anyone else and deserve love and patience as you heal.
@dgnas

(thinking about 8:05ish) like you said, these are very valid criticisms, but i feel like people forget ‘male’ is a gender. men are a part of gender studies (gs), and studying the way society is constructed, and using the analytical framework provided by gs helps all of us, esp when having nuanced conversations around heavy topics like sexual violence.
