We needed to talk about this in my opinion, cults are not quirky or fun, and Gigi should know that. This is a lot more critical than other videos of mine, but it really upset me to see people saying it is not a big deal, when there are kids experiencing psychosis and h*rming themselves.

8:00 saying you wanna create a safe community but then treating it like a cult is just plain insensitive and hurtful to real victims. Especially since a lot of the time that’s the facade a cult with create, so the fact that they’re spreading misinformation that a cult is a safe and fun community is just helping people get hurt which really sucks, especially since children are probably seeing this and genuinely believing that is what a cult is.

As someone who is around the age of the kids who joined this cult, I honestly would have also fallen for it and for the exact reasons you said of just wanting to be a part of something and not seeing or taking seriously the bad parts. I'm so glad that I saw this video instead of the videos shown so if they do pop up on my fyp or someone I know's fyp, I can warn them not to interact with it!

I joined this when it was the community. I regret it to this day. I was 15 and I really should’ve known better. I realized how bad this was after a few days and was so frantic to get the symbols out of my name and erase any sort of trace of that “community” from my life. It makes me sick to see how horrible it got and really was after I left. I will learn from my mistakes now

Almost every adult knows what a cult is and the fact cults aren’t exactly known for having a good reputation in fact it’s quite the opposite every cult in history has been tied to sick and terrible actions performed by the cult itself or its leader, also with the amount of young individuals that were brought into her cult isn’t this a form of grooming? Like this is so disturbing how she’s like: “👉🏻👈🏻🤭 whoopsie I swear I didn’t know what a cult was despite having a sociology degree where cults are heavily studied” it’s quite annoying if I’m being honest she really should take accountability for her actions and the part she played in this but in true cult leader fashion she deflects and shifts blame to everything but herself and the things she’s done to fuel all of this!

Hii!! I was a victim to Children Of The Waning Star!! My friend at the time told me to join this fun tiktok thing where we put certain emojis in our username. She had told me it was representing Paganism which is my religion. So naturally I put the emojis in my username without question since I trusted this person. This led to people DMing me their SH and lots of different things. It also led to people sending me 🍇 and death threats when I would be confused as to why they were sending me their "gifts" that they would be giving to her. I eventually noticed that their usernames had the same emojis as mine so I did some research and soon learned I had joined a cult. I cut contact with that friend and removed the emojis as soon as possible which only led to the members noticing and harassing me more. Calling me things like a traitor or a demon. I was even told that I would be sacrificed. I eventually took a long long break from the internet and made a new account when I came back on. I'm also in therapy now. But I was only 15 at the time. I'm 16 now. This was one of the most horrorifying experiences ever for me. Thinking about it makes me wanna vomit. I was also sent videos of people stabbing their poor pets. It was truly disgusting.

I run a 'cult' with some friends of mine and with people we made friends with online. I made it entirely clear from the start to people that its basically satire, and I do it for fun since I simply love it as a 'horror trope,' as I guess you could call it. It really only attracted like-minded individuals who also love all things horror related, and so it truly was a 'DnD styled' grouping with how we run things. We all understand that calling ourselves a cult comes off as terrible, and so we ended up only using it among ourselves, and I actually have a monthly read through of real-life cults to spread the story of the real tragedies of these real groups. I believe there is a way to form a harmless or even wholesome 'cult' in a similar way that I have, but the way this girl went about doing it is a prime example how NOT to.

As someone who is Asatru, if you have an innate connection with altar making and rituals please PLEASE do not worship a licing person, you will develop parasocial behaviors and idolize them which can ruin your world. I've been down that road before, but i found something that uplifts me which is a a religion ithat grounds me and makes me feel like i have control over my life. Im not saying everyone should or can be pagan but if thats the kind of sustinence your heart is craving please dont do it this way. its dangerous for your mental health. love from me <3

I have a online friend and we have been friends for around a year, he made a little mental health server thing— okay cool love that it slowly turned into promoting sh and then he turned it into a cult and he says hes god and that everyone will listen to him. One of the people in this cult friend contacted him saying he needs to stop this and that the person is carving his name into their skin and his response is “i cant stop that”. That same person was saying “YOU CONTROL THE FATES OF EVERYBODY HERE AND IS ON PERSON DISOBAYS THEY WILL
SUFER CONSEQUENCE” and “WE WILL GIVE YOU OUR MONEY, OUR BL90D, OUR LIFE, ANYTHING” tbh i dont know what to do at this point.

Roblox actively tells you to join discord servers, and you can link your discord in your bio, so obviously young kids will be pressured into discord, and we all know what happens there. And it can still happen solely on Roblox.
