also not 2005, but everytime I die ebolarama had one of my favorite lines in any song, "when in rome, we'll do like the romans, when in hell, we'll do shots at the bar!"

Thanks for continuing this series! I "rescued" a store copy for Undoing Ruin from the hot topic days since that and many others cds were going be to tossed. Its been one of my favorite metalcore since.

It's weird that such a huge ETID fan like me never listened to Gutter Phenomenon until this year when I went through the disgraphy, specifically noting the best stanzas. For some reason I stopped on Big Dirty initially when discovering them and never bothered going further. Gutter Phenomena is not the strongest lyricaly, Keith was still finding his style, but it was arguably the album that showed the southern twang part of the band the most.

    No love for:
War of ages “war of ages”
Inked in Blood “lay waste the poet”
    Manntis “sleep in your grave”
Mendeed “this war will last forever”
    Carpathian “carpathaian”
The daylight curse “black and white memories”
    Antagonist “the architecture of discord”
    Summers end “summers end”
Embrace the end “counting hallways to the left”

In my small town, this was definitely the year metalcore broke. I remember seeing people that scoffed at me for wearing Slayer and Pantera (and yes, nu metal) shirts all the sudden repping As I Lay Dying, KSE, Atreyu and even A Life Once Lost. Confusing at the time, but kinda cool to think now haha.
