It makes them feel like white owners. Capitalism is about class, being white or black is a construct contingent to the ideology used to justify the system. Historically being black meant being enslaved and lowest of the working class. Black people are being coopted and it works: gays can finally be in the army and enjoy the "privilege" to kill, black people have finally the "privilege" to own white workers etc. traditionally oppressed people can be "finally" the oppressor and in this way oppression can continue to be idealized, worshipped, practiced. And it can change back at any moment, depending on the crises coming and the whims of whoever is in the upper tier of ownership.

"1 Black Socialist vs 20 Black Liberals" – Should Black people organize that, with or without Jubilee?
@OkItsJustSean

1. I hate you intentional conflation of black liberalism and conservative. It comes off as intentionally bad faith. 2. The reason why I dislike leftists takes on social media is because your politics, despite having some truth and value, hyper fixate on social justice and capitalism. Nothing on foreign policy, energy, or any definitive examples of how your ideas can be implemented. Its all sounds like critical analysis we had to do in liberal arts classes that yall never moved on from. Yall really learned about critical theory in college and stopped at marxism. With all that said, I really tried listening but you come off as spiteful or bad faith when you intentionally misrepresent those who aren’t as racial as you.

Jubilee only seems to care about engagement, not any of the issues brought up on their show. If they did more of the types of things you're suggesting I think it would actually help a lot of people change their biases. What they do now just grabs attention and then solidifies people into their comfortable little corners of the internet.

This video pulled me into subscribe. Very well done and illuminating. I’m not black, but partly grew up in a poor black neighborhood. I was motivated to try to tackle the economic disparity problem in education, but as I got older, I felt it wasn’t that important because even if the lower classes rise up to the top this whole system it designed to benefit very few so they just be displacing others no uplifting others. it’d be great if there are black faces at the top but what difference does it make? The rest of the population is still being oppressed! I started a tend towards socialism but feel the capitalism is too powerful and I’ve lost some steam these last few years. This video helped me push pause and reflect on how I want to put my effort into helping our future generations. Thank you!
Also shout out to WEB my immigrant father was just telling me what a G he was and how in the end America both failed him and rejected him so much so that he left and went to Africa in his late years. It’s very telling that one of the most brilliant minds of his generation felt that the system in America was that broken it could not be redeemed.

"Poor America, of what avail is all her wealth, if the individuals comprising the nation are wretchedly poor? If they live in squalor, in filth, in crime, with hope and joy gone, a homeless, soulless army of human prey." ~ Emma Goldman

Nah bro listen as a representation of black capitalism and someone who fights against the label of conservative…i have to admit this video makes a lot of sense. In my opinion Reagan is the worst president ever and people often say he wasn’t a racist because of MLK day and black history month, but in the eyes of reparations these always seemed to fall short. Framed in the context of indoctrinating black people into capitalism by controlling the figures being learned about is a master class is reeducating a group of people. Insane

The only problem with communism is that in practice it always looks 180 different than what it is on paper.
In practice communism is actually tyranny if you’re not part of the majority that’s willing to accept hierarchical assignment from the government with no questions, no push back whatsoever.
There’s no political solution to a people problem.
The brokenness of capitalism leaves some cracks for people to make videos criticizing the political system, where if you do that in a communist system you get locked up and if you continue to do it you get to see your family, friends. associates imprisoned and tortured and are told it’s the will
of the people.
Any of these political systems work if 98% of the people in it are decent people.
This country, the white part, has been built on penal colony stock that started off 95% corrupt to the core.

@Cyrus09
June 13, 2026 at 4:55 pm
dude all the system and governments ever existed in history which tried to abandon capitalism HAVE CRUMBLED. China, a self claiming communism country, adapted capitalism so they can be whatever they are today, which is definitely better than what they were in Mao's regime. what truly needed to be done ISN'T abandoning it, but to control it and adjust it. you can't solve problems by living in the dream. you are stuck with reality therefore better learn to be pragmatic.

Yeah, I’m way late to this, but it’s really good. WEB DuBois is the model. To me, he’s up there with Marx and Lenin in importance, as one of the great revolutionary thinkers and actors. DuBois should be understood as an evolving figure who was constantly reevaluating his ideas, and radicalizing as time went on. He was in opposition to a figure like Booker T, but his real radicalism devolved well after their biggest differences.. I know a lot of people take some issues with Adolph Reed Jr (I def don’t agree with him on everything), but if you can track it down, I highly recommend his book on WEB DuBois, which does a lot of work to contextualize DuBois’s development from progressive reformer, to Fabianist, and so on..

Ok but if you work for a massive corporation that benefits off exploitation and you make a shitton of money doing that when you could be getting less money and working for someone less exploitative or on your own. Then you are a willing and intentional participant in capitalism.
