Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes SUFFERS Concussion On Stage

Rock Feed | May 15, 2026

Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes suffered a concussion after a fan threw a phone at his head during a concert in St. Louis. Despite the brutal hit and visible swelling, Oli powered through the set. But it’s his shocking statement released on Instagram afterward—where he actually apologized to the audience for a “half-hearted performance”—that has the rock world talking.

If this was a while ago i think he would have gone into the crowd and found him but this shows how much he has grown. The person who threw it needs to be charged with assault becasue that is what it is

Not cool, the band is up there giving their all and a coward from the darkness abuses them. We use to just kick the persons ass when this would happen(used to be shoes and beer bottles til they when plastic)

I think if you throw something at the performers you should be ejected immediately, there is no reason for this. You don't want to do that while standing next to me at a show. I promise you will regret it.

my dad and I were just talking about this. we saw him a couple weeks ago and had the pleasure of meeting him. he was so sweet. he actually handled this really well. I hope is okay! whoever did this needs to face consequences. this could have killed him if it hit him at a different angle

This literally ruined the show. Oli was so uncomfortable and he continued on like a champ. I wish he would have stopped because the show wasn't fun after he got hit. He progressively got more dizzy, more angry and kept having to crouch down or exit the stage. It felt wrong to sing and dance while he's suffering on for us.

Unacceptable behavior. Kudos to Oli for trying to keep going. Glad to hear there isn't any lasting damage. Hopefully they find the guy and charge them at least with assault and theft of that fan's phone.
