We all want to always be right. But in order to ever be right, we must first learn how to sometimes be wrong. Without the ability to admit wrongness, we will never be able to learn, grow, and adapt. It is the power of humility and critical thinking that will help us on our journey towards knowledge, understanding, and compassion.
i like this, and wish we could all follow this advice. as someone who doesn't know people very well, and has had limited contact and experiences with other people, my judgment is skewed, but i've perceived some struggle more with this than others, and i hope that eventually the number of people who can let go of their ego outweighs those who can't 🙂
How can you ever hope to be right if you don’t allow yourself to be wrong. One trait that I RARELY see is anyone willing to admit their wrong and will defend a lie rather than adopt an opposing view.
It is definitely a wonder to think about how we can actually interact with other human beings in a manner that transcends the usual "norm" by trying one's best to get past the ego side of things and communicate as two souls or spirits that are "being human."
A good view on communication with people as individuals & society. ⛵ I enjoyed the words & visuals. Voice could have been in a lower tone…but nice music & educational.
