Great video but you forgot to mention how corrupt the prosecutors office & the csi techs were in the Michael Peterson case . It was also the same prosecutor who charged the Duke Lacrosse players & that was a lie as well.

The Paradise Lost “documentaries” left out a ton of facts, such as how Damian knew facts about the murders that had never been made public, or how he and Jason were seen on the side of the road covered in mud right after the murders. They left out how neither Jason nor Damian had an alibi and were caught lying multiple times. The movies lied about the “12 hour” internet, which only lasted 2 hours in reality.

The West Memphis 3 are guilty as hell.

correction: i just watched The Staircase and i believe his alford plea acknowledged that the state had enough circumstantial evidence to TRY him – not "convict" him. Whether or not a jury would find him guilty based on that evidence is pure speculation.

Patton Oswalt (Michelle’s widower) talks about her death in his comedy special Annihilation. You’d think that a comedy special would be the worst place for him to talk about it, but he does so with grace and humanity.

I didn't follow the "Murder on a Sunday Morning" story well – all of these stories went by so fast. Was the husband ever released? What's especially strange is that until today I had never heard of an Alfred plea, and yet this is the second video I've seen today that mentioned it. What are the odds of that happening??

25 years after Janet Chandler's brutal unsolved murder, students at her former college conducted new interviews and produced a documentary called "who killed Janet Chandler?" That film was the spark that re lit the cold case, inspiring investigators to finally track down witnesses who'd never been interviewed.
When they wouldn't talk, they were shown the film, and it made at least one man finally crack and tell the story of what really happened to Janet between her abduction and when her body was found.
I'm a true crime junkie and lots of stuff doesn't bother me anymore, so when I say Janet's final hours were horrific and terrifying not just in what was done to her but how MANY people were involved, I mean it. Blood chilling.
Then all those people just… agreed never to tell anyone, and went on with their lives. If it hadn't been for the students and their film, Janet's story might never have been told.

What a weird list. The West Memphis murders and the murder of Malcolm X remain unsolved. The documentaries helped free wrongly convicted men, but did not solve the cases. I have no idea why The Staircase is on this list at all. The documentary was interesting, but solved nothing. You don't need to make things up just to have 10 things. I'd still have watched if you made this Horrific Crimes That Were Solved Thanks to Documentaries and I'd think more of you for not including things that don't belong just to make 10.

So, did Michael spike the medication George Ratliff was taking thus killing him while he was waiting in Panama before the invasion of Grenada? And then barely a year later kill his wife, Elizabeth Ratliff, in Germany by causing her to fall on the staircase in her home. Peterson and his wife had been named to assume the conservators of the Ratliff"s 2 daughters. An awful lot of money was at stake after George's death from his military death benefits and the death of Elizabeth.
Remember that those 2 girls put that money up for Peterson's defence fund in the trial for murder of his second wife . . . And all of that money was consumed during his trial, never to have been repaid after he got out of prison. Margaret and Martha were never repaid a dime . . .

Oh, we have "scientific" evidence in those squirt guns – the Cops
But there are no diatoms present in the squirt guns, so they never had any water in them – the Scientists
Well we didn't actually test those squirt guns for that kind of "schtuff" but we know those boys are guilty regardless so you cannot believe their so called science – the Cops
    WTF ??? – the Scientists
