The other tree that owns itself
The Tree That Owns Itself in Athens, Georgia is well known. The other Tree That Owns Itself in Eufaula, Alabama, really isn’t. It’s the same story in a different place. Why?

I really hope this isn't perceived as calling anyone out; I was just surprised to find the other tree while researching!

As a non-American living in Europe, has been before to Georgia (State), and has family living there, it still took me a Google search and reading the comments to realize that I should learn more USA geography and learn to identify which is which! Another common example Monterrey, N.L., Mexico vs Monterrey, CA, USA 🤣🤣

The second tree does now have a Wikipedia article, which was created the day that this video was posted.

It depends on how poplar the tree is.

What is the point, if anything, for granting a tree its own ownership if you judge it by its popularity among people? Seems to me if anything, granting a tree its own ownership necessarily means humans pack their stuff and move on and leave it alone.

In my opinion, both stories should be forgotten. I can't believe I watched this. Usually this guy has more interesting videos.

I LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS TOM !!! You make them perfectly…. The thing that makes your videos so great is that you fully submerse yourself…. When I watch your videos I know your heart is in every single one, and that means a lot to the viewer ( to me)

A tree can own itself but it feels like a human can't

Do a story about the statue to the Boll Weevil in Enterprise , Al. it was built to honor the insect for forcing the local economy to diversify their crop,

I've known about the tree in Eufaula for decades but not the one in Athens. My parents and I used to drive by it every year on the way to Florida before the freeways were built.

I like these videos because without knowing his schedule, it seems like he flew out to Georgia to film what would end up being less that 1:30 of video, to then go to Alabama to film the remaining minute or so. Lot of commitment for such short videos and I gotta respect that
