What’s it all for? Sometimes we get so caught up in it all that we forget to stop and think about this and decide for ourself.

Complete crap , this is a system of no contentment or relaxation ! Retirement is a complete joke because most of our physical and mental abilities have been degradated by age 60 !

I use this as my life purpose, to live happily and contentedly outside of rat race society. I know many people who feel tired too but they don't have enough courage to resist it, in the end they conform to society's standards.

Thank you very much! However, I don't enjoy the rat race. In the face of death, none of our material wealth will have value.

The trouble is we need money for everything, and most of us are not born rich! We need passive income to cover at least a basic life. How to do that is the question? It's not easy, but it is possible!

The suffering of those who live in First World countries. Woe is them….

these thoughts seem wonderful if you are living in a world first country. This approach can't work with developing countries like mine we have to be more subtle in our choices and we may have to make these adjustment in our career just to put food on table

What was it all for? Simple. It's all for getting married, have children, and supporting your family for our next generations to do the same. It's all for better chance of survival(a.k.a. Life).

Most people surprisingly just think about the present. They cannot project the future, and spend most of their time spending money today instead of saving and investing in tomorrow. There is no need for more present lovers.

Society is a joke. Careers are a joke. Heirarchy is a joke. Materialism is a joke. Consumerism is a joke. Keeping up with the Joneses is a joke. To see the joke, is to laugh and leave it. Society hates my guts because I don't participate in the egocentric insanity.

"Progression, trying new thing evolving and working towards new goals are all great. But when it gets to the point where it prevents us from ever being able to appreciate that this moment right now, is also great, perhaps you have gone to far." Very well said

But finally, what we observe around us is that those who think about the likes of what is mentioned in the video are the ones who end up being sad.
Those who are actually part of the rat race and doesn't care to stop and reflect are actually not worried much.
And that's the paradox, is what I feel. You end up being sad when you try to dissect and find solutions to reality, while those busy in the flow and not caring about the bird's eye perspective don't give a damn.

I get that, but I gotta get my money up so I don't have to have the 9-5, can do what I want and don't have the burdens of not being financially independent. I'll probably have goals even when I do hit that state, but they'll be on my terms.

I have pondered and have come to one realization – We are all born just to live, not to achieve something beyond ourselves, but to live, to explore, to see, to learn, to experience. The most we can make of our life is to enjoy every bit of it while we can instead of chasing after something that will never end

This message is good, but it can also cut off motivation for many. If you always live in the present, you’ll never seek to improve; if you always live in the future, you’ll never be content. Balance is key 🙏

The meaning is obvious but it's not about us (the individual human beings) it's about the humanity itself since the beginning . The history that we learn is not about "us", not about the people as individuals, it's about ALL the Humanity, in this perspective a lot of things become more coherent .
