Weird History | December 31, 2025

In addition to being the highest point on Earth at 29,000 feet above sea level, Mount Everest is also one of the most sought after destinations of mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts. While it’s not considered one of Earth’s most dangerous mountains, people die attempting to summit its peak each year, prompting many to wonder what it’s like to climb Everest and if it’s worth it. Despite the costs, dangers, and extreme endurance needed, many climbers claim it is.

Mount Everest is now being covered in Sh-t, which remains frozen for decades. All these 100,s of climbers have to Poo somewhere. For the environment sake stop this mad rush to climb this mountain

You're wrong about the Death Zone and small aircraft. Only commercial airliners and jets with pressurized cabins can reach that height. A private pilot with a Cessna 172 couldn't climb as high as Base Camp. The air that high doesn't have enough pressure for a propeller to generate enough thrust to keep the plane airborne.

    @ 0:12 you say:

β€œβ€¦.it has become the β€˜bucket list destination’ of climbers….”

    But I say:
β€œβ€¦.it has become the β€˜kick the bucket list destination’ of waaaaay too many climbers….”

I have no issues with people doing something they love even if it kills them. I do have HUGE issues with destroying someplace because you want to go. If you can’t leave it the way you (originally) found it, you can’t go.

2024 and it's just as bad. I imagine future archeologists will assume all the bodies are sacrifices for better weather in the end of the climate change wars.
