I've always been a huge fan of horror movies, anything supernatural and spooky, plus metal and rock music. But Rob Zombie has always creeped me the hell out, and seeing these movies when they came out just solidified that for me. It feels like these movies are just his inner fantasies put on film. They're also completely lackluster for horror movies in my opinion, which is surprising considering his whole image is based on horror. You'd think he'd completely nail the horror elements, but these movies just seemed like he wanted to make a gore-filled adult movie.

I really liked the brutality of the zombie Halloween movies. I didn’t like the whole white horse thing but I enjoy watching these. But I’m a Halloween Stan so I’ll take all the MM I can get

Rob Zombie is SO fucking overrated!!! His best movies are mid at best! And he totally blew it with these clumsy attempts at making movies… Which should have been an easy task!!! But it was too hard for this amateur filmmakeršŸ™„

Sorry my man, but can’t get behind this one. Rob’s Halloween movies are dope (not perfect, but a unique take on the franchise). He was also treated very unfairly by the Weinstein brothers, which I think translated to the ill-will against these movies in the industry.

. . . Overall you’re right . . BUT in Rob Zombies defense The Shape Michael Meyers is difficult to understand so he was trying to bring light what makes up the myth the legend the man The Shape Michael Meyers . . . I digress what rob zombie was trying to explain was that between NY and CA are the mid-west-meth heads and as sung by Primus ā€œ. . . these blue collared tweekers are the back bone of this here town . . . ā€œ and since these blue collared tweekers are bringing in the money to the town then they have a say about what goes in town and if every swinging dick in town is stopping at your house to fuck your mom and/or sister and your dad and mother aren’t real so their because their house is not their home their just a placebo as a child all your hearing is these people parade in and out of your house your gana get staple a mother fucker to a wall with their own cutlery. . . In boot camp I was the last person out of bed to get ready every single day because I calculated 250 other men with my eyes closed . . . Michael Meyers is doing the same thing he’s hearing their pekoe talk all the way to their fraternization so that’s how he’s able to take advantage of them because they made themselves predictable in using his sister as a live action sex doll ass puppet in order to jerk their egos off . . . And driving is easy so rob zombies stupied in that matter but not everybody can be Maynard James Keenan and create three separate bands to make music because white zombie was the best . . . But the knife and even the car represent the ā€œescalation of forceā€ like The Shape could have used a rock or his bare hands to take all those people but if the knife is a sophisticated shaped rock and escalation of force where as if he decided to pick up a gun he would just out shoot everyone his insite and understanding is able to prototype and understand and observe the terrain of the mechanics at hand. Grease Paint and Monkey Brains be praised.

This is definitely one of your worst videos so far after going back and rewatching. The mass majority of your complaints are things that existed/happened in the original too. You speak confidently about original Halloween yet at the same time sound like you’ve never even watched it before.

I'm mixed on the Bob Zombie Halloweens. I don't really think Zombie has much of an eye or mind for directing, outside of maybe music videos, on the other hand I appreciate an attempt was made to reimagine Halloween as a kind of southern gothic horror. It's not trying to awkwardly continue the original series like nearly every other entry, it's just doing its own thing. The hulking Meyers, while maybe not scary in that spooky way, is pretty intimidating. I liked Brad Douriff but he elevates everything, and i like Danielle Harris character even though her story goes nowhere and she was basically wasted. It's like, I completely see what he was going for, he just simply lacked the talent and/or vision to achieve it and that's kind of the long and short of the whole debacle.
