Putin takes territory and kills Ukrainians.
Trump takes the mineral resources and "500 billion".
    Everyone wins!
Who will say that this is a "bad deal"?
    Ukrainians? And who is this?

Are we really sure there really are valuable resources over there? This reminds me of those creepy vans being driven by a guy offering "free candy." Trumps going to fall for it but the average American is smarter than him.

There is a myth that Weimar Germany crumbled under the weight of reparations. In fact, only a small fraction of that was repaid and this narrative was invented by the Nazis to justify their claim to power

Trump doesn't care about the minerals or their value, the numbers he throws around never made sense. He just wanted a headline to show off with: "I stopped the war AND made an amazing deal for the US"

i guess Zelensky should have agreed to trump stupid deal, got america to pay for the mining infrastructure then reneged on the deal when it came time to pay up

Trump's golden visa math is the craziest crypto bro fever dream, it could be a video topic. He's talking about selling millions of visas to pay off the debt when there are only about 400k people on earth worth 20 million or more dollars outside the US. And most of those people don't want or need a US passport to travel internationally (they either live in the EU or they worry about IRS and DOJ jurisdiction over them). This is just fantasy and raises eyebrows. Also the idea to spend real US money on ripple etc is wild. The whole idea of crypto is to find a bigger buyer to keep the price going up, and there's not a bigger buyer after the US comes in. Who would the US sell its crypto to? There's nobody who could afford to buy it.

After deducting extraction cost 💲 it’s probably a lot less than that 😂this guy is all hyperbole. Not to mention if 😂coconut Kamala wins the election, theyll force American companies to pull back so who would put so much money in?😮

I am the only person I know (personally) to have actually been to Ukraine.
    The country is pointless.
As you head east it is a vast expanse of nothing, with a few farm villages. I saw people pulling crops by hand, on their knees with baskets.
It was like being in the 1700s but with a few battered cars here and there. Even Kiev, the capital, is a dump once you walk beyond the main square.
The people were nice-normal just like most other places.
I feel bad for the kids. But that country ain’t worth saving at any cost.
Putin, Zelensky, Yanukovich. Seriously, it will make little difference to the place I saw.

Trump proved that he is an agent working for Putin. Zelensky knows he can't trust Trump as far as he can throw him. He is fighting for the survival of his country against a more powerful aggressor who has Trump in their pocket. Zelensky will have to look to Europe for assistance. The United States is no longer on the side of freedom and democracy. All the talk of mineral wealth and having Ukraine pay back the US for weapons is from the Kremlin script.

Pretty good video but at the end its not true that the money sent to Ukraine is gone. 70% of the money we gave to Ukraine we already got back from defense industries. The US's defense industry is also booming because of the war, getting billions in contract from NATO countries and expanding into emerging markets like Sweden and Finland who are joining NATO and need to build up their military. We're not losing anything financially from this war, we are profiting.

I think the US should stop always pointing the finger at Russia, since they can’t find another enemy other than China or Iran.
    Greed and ignorance.
If companies like Chevy sold their patents to China rather than try to suppress them, then they wouldn’t have their patents hacked. (See Chevy/Chery situation).
I don’t know if Trump is a Russian asset and honestly I don’t care.
The point is Russia, and Putin himself has extended a hand out twice to join NATO to create a great partnership Bush and Obama both rejected the idea. Russia attempted a treaty a year before this war with Ukraine and Biden stopped it.
Trump may not be a good choice for president in many circumstances, but one thing is for sure. Better relations are needed with Russia and China, so that we can all cometother to work on the mess that is Israel and Iran / Iran and the rest of the Islamic states.
The world is a mess, and no one is going to really care until it’s much too late, and it’s not gonna be the politicians wiped out to learn the lesson unfortunately. They live on to keep creating this chaos, and the goons of this planet sadly keep voting for it. SMH.

Read the deal, It has nothing to do with Minerals, part of the deal says 'Logistics' and Operations, This includes the reconstructions efforts and Ports. America wants total control of reconstruction and the Port of Odesa which is the second-best port for the American Navy after loosing a chance at the Ports of Crimea. Read the deal, Majority of the minerals are in Russian held Oblasts or regions which Russia will never give back and am sure Trump and his people know that, now the want the next best thing. Again , read the deal, it is available online. It is just replacing NATO with USA Companies, Russian will not agree to NATO on their border but wont have an issue with companies flooding Ukraine. Think about it, this will ensure USA wins no matter the outcome of the Negotiations.

Trump is fooling people. Ukraine has little rare earth minerals. Trump just want to show that he is a deal maker and get something for US. All this is hogwash

    December 25, 2025 at 2:01 pm

The US need a reason to get involved in the war. If Ukraine promise this 500b mineral, even if in actuality it doesn’t have this much of deposits, the US can get between them and Russia in the name of protecting the US strategic interest. It has nothing to do with economics.

  15. @jamess7315

    December 25, 2025 at 2:01 pm

I think you are missing a huge point. If the USA owns 50% of the resources, they will be incentivized to extract it. That means building infrastructure, creating jobs, bringing in tax dollars etc. If there is no value to it as you claim – that is no problem, just agree to it then.

  16. @oleksiidmytrenko6114

    December 25, 2025 at 2:01 pm

russians precisely started the war in the energy production dense regions to stop us from extracting the resources. Before that they had a puppet president who supposed to make sure no foreign investment is allowed. It’s not so simple.

The felon: "Ukraine, you spill your blood, not ours and give us your minerals." There is no person in US history with less courage and decency than Donald Trump. It's one of many reasons he was voted the worst US President by a group of 200+ historians and Constitutional scholars.

  18. @cttommy73

    December 25, 2025 at 2:01 pm

The war was started by the US. Maintained by the US and now, Ukraine has been divided, exploited and given to American companies. And somehow, the US still acts like it is a victim.

The likelihood that Elon Musk is pushing for a Trump administration to secure rare earth minerals in Ukraine is high. With Chinese companies dominating the rare earth market—especially in Africa, most notably the Congo—Musk knows Tesla needs a stable supply to keep costs down. After all, the biggest expense for EVs is the battery. Perhaps his vocal support for DOGE is just a bargaining chip in a much larger geopolitical game.

One thing to keep in mind about what Trump has been pushing for AND a likely sticking point that pushed him to Putin:

He said he wants US corporations to control and extract the raw materials but he said he wanted UKRAINE to GIVE the US the minerals. You don't bill someone for the acquisition costs of something that you're being required to give them. Everyone HEARD Trump say he wanted Ukraine to give the US ~Mining Rights to the minerals~ what Trump said was to GIVE THE US THE MINERALS by PAYING US COMPANIES to extract them for TRANSFER to THOSE COMPANIES at no cost to them. Effectively requiring Ukraine to invest the multiple trillion dollars to extract the eventual $500,000,000,000 of minerals in the deal.

Once Trump heard Zelensky talking about the US companies paying the extraction costs and the US companies getting rights to only part of the deposits and NOT all of the minerals they extract he blew up negotiations and started sucking up to Russia.

Russia would be absolutely willing to pay for the extraction of those minerals (using slave labor from the occupied Ukrainian territory no doubt and just strip mining and creating another sea of Azhov to eliminate costs and ensure Ukraine can never use that land again and that it creates a toxic barrier for any returning army. Plus ending US sanctions AND getting a US president to agree to support ALL Russian propaganda as official policy AND drive a wedge between the US and Europe that might even result in a US/Russia strategic alliance. That's worth the costs of those minerals. Trump knows it. He's just taking the biggest bribe he can get and he knows that the deal would essentially make Ukraine a US vassal state the same way Russia treated them before the Revolution that put Zelensky in charge.

So yeah, the point is that the companies mining it won't have to pay for any of the costs: the Ukrainian or Russian government would.

We should disarm the world for peace. Oh no, some countries aren't disarming and are attacking others. Should we defend people being attacked?

Of course the Ukraine War is more nuanced, but not by much. As Russia stated, they feel endangered by Ukraine joining NATO/Russia being by enemies…well many countries have justifably said that they want to defend themselves from Russia, so Russia has caused is provoking aggression while expanding. I don't know if you've played Civilization, but a lot of people don't like warmongers such as Putin.

    December 25, 2025 at 2:01 pm

Im sure its not all about the money. It probably has alot to do with the us being self sustainable so they don’t have to rely on other countries. I like the idea. Hopefully they can work something else.

  23. @deragoth4250

    December 25, 2025 at 2:01 pm

Here is a theory – the USA of course know extracting 500 billion was fanciful. It was first promoted becos they needed support to continue the war.
However once trump had made his deal with Russia he needed a reason leave Ukraine high and dry. So he demanded 500 billion which was excessively high hoping Zelenskyy would say no. When Zelenskyy came around to the idea and agreed, trump then had Vance insult Zelenskyy in that White House meeting to make sure the deal fell through. Then trump can say to his supporters that it’s wasn’t his fault

Many experts agree that Ukraine doesn’t have exploitable/profitable rare earths. The reason China has rare earths is because it’s a byproduct of its iron and coal mining, not that they have such a concentration of rare earths. China does massive mining of iron and has the money, energy, and disregard for environmental concerns to extract the rare earths from the mine tailings. Ukraines rare earths is similar to Chinas situation. The places that has lots of primary rare earth sources is actually Canada, Australia, Brazil and … the U.S. it’s just lack of investment, environmental concerns holding back the trade earths from US production.

The money (for weapons) is not "spent" it is the value of provided weapons from stockpiles and repiling those said stockpiles employ american workers and generate money for the usa economy.
