It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why I like Only Murders In The Building or why Steve, Martin and Selena work – but it does. Selena was such an unexpected choice for these two but it does really work.

Steve's stand-up from the 70's & 80's is not my favorite kind. The humor is a bit too "Boomer" for my tastes. However, I do love his general wit. I think if I were to define my favorite SNL sketch of all time by which one I would most want to travel back in time and watch live in the studio audience, it would be the legendary Steve Martin cold open from late 1991 called "Not gonna phone it in tonight." It didn't make me laugh harder than any other sketch in SNL history, but it's definitely the one I most wish I could watch live in person.
