Julien Baker – Sprained Ankle – VINYL REVIEW
Originally released in 2015, I take a look at one of the coolest pieces of vinyl in my collection: a 2021 reissue of Sprained Ankle by Julien Baker (of boygenius fame) that was limited to just 110 copies on 6131 Records. This is from the 8th pressing of the album, which included 3 variants, one of which was highly limited to just 110 copies on blue with baby blue and black splatter vinyl. I share how the album struck him at a pivotal time in 2021, and how it was precisely the album I needed at the time. Baker’s minimalist style is countered with powerful, poignant lyrics. Check out the vinyl unboxing video and his thoughts in a brief album review.
