Walmart stabbings: Witnesses recount acts of heroism in Traverse City attack
In a tragic situation, we’re often told to look for the helpers.
It’s those who step up in a crisis to aid those around them.
From the employees at the Traverse City Walmart, to the customers who stopped to help those who were injured in Saturday’s mass stabbing incident.
A chaotic Saturday afternoon led to an eerily quiet Sunday. What normally would be a jammed parking lot of grocery shoppers at Walmart was empty, except for a couple of investigators.
“It was like your worst nightmare,” said Jan Baty, who was shopping at Walmart when the stabbings occured. “Watching things on TV like that doesn’t even come close.”
Baty and her husband were shopping when they witnessed an older woman attacked with a knife.
“I saw his arm like wipe across her face and and he slashed her face and then he went down the frozen food aisle and my husband saw him stab a young man right in that aisle,” described Baty.

The explanation to children needs to include a lesson on EVIL. Evil criminals and evil judges who let these criminals out of jail for a few bucks. Insanity.
In the UK a couple killed their au pare and also tortured her for months before the killing. The couple was caught and tried and only received 30 years for this murder and torture. If you don't know it, the UK is completely out-of-whack and in terminal melt down as a country. We are not far behind.

It's not feasible for everyone to carry a pea shooter but you can stop a knife attack with pepper spray. I promise no man can keep stabbing with heavy doses to the eye. Its cheap, small and easy to carry.

Can you explain why the news reports are failing to mention the armed citizen who stopped the attack? No mention of him or his firearm, which prevented further mayhem. It's almost as if it doesn't fit their agenda.
