Trump mentions Christianity far less than Obama, Clinton or GW Bush. Clinton started carrying a bible as a prop while the Monica Lewinski mess was going on.

Trump is New York billionaire. Of course he thinks Christianity is an ideology reserved for the poor stupid uneducated masses. Everyone in those elitist groups think that, whether they say it or not

As a Gold Water Conservative I will fight on this hill and die on this hill. Traditional conservatives fought to keep religion out of politics, when regan embraced the religion of the right to win, conservative morals and values died and populism and christian nationalism began. this is a hard fact

Yep. From Pence to Ben Carson to Paula White… Miller, Vance, and Hegseth… this is a way for Trump to quickly enlist support of whole groups — groups given to mythology and tribalism. Trump definitely uses Christians, other religions, and ideologues for his own benefit!

I'm all for this, I respect this, but my issue is i subscribe to the the "religon was made for control" it's why the bible is so easily used the way it is, it's vauge enough and boring enough to use for the sole purpose of control. lets look at the earliest concept of catholisim "the crusades" litteral "gods army" that pillaged and took things from other cultures litterely forcing people into their religion or they were killed. i respect, that you can belive in this god, but more people use the "christian god" and other religions like for control a lot of fear control as well. if you need a religion to be good are you really actually good?

Is? Seriously that question even has to be asked? A man that has no compass other than how can he make money hurting people. A man that has not stepped into a church unless he is grifting . A man that cannot tell you the difference between the old and new testaments. A man who's fave book in the bible is 2 Corinthians and holds said bible upside down. A man that thinks the word "grocery" is an old English noun. A man that John McCain did not invite to his funeral. DONALD J TRUMP is a trash bag of a human,.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying about the exact scenarios in the bible being tied to that specific time in history but also believe that is why god gave us the Catholic church to be the living church of god and help us in todays world

My very good and wise man… Donald Trump is using EVERYONE for his own benefit.
Trump has one goal – a throne and crown. He fancies himself a divine right tyrant King, and will accept nothing less from his second Presidency.
This matter is a drop in the bucket, compared to Trump's ultimate goal. He means to burn down democracy, America, and our free society, and remake it in his image. Until then, he knows his time is short, and so he roams to and fro upon the Earth, seeking whom he may devour.
His faithful will call him "The Trump of god". The rest of us will be required to call him "Your Majesty" or "Rex Donald I". These things are inevitable, because none are rising up to stop him – not MAGA, not traditional conservative, and not Democrats.
It's time once again to refresh the tree of liberty, lest it perish on our watch.

do none of you know anything about american history and christianity. the type of christians who came to america to found it were the worst type, puritans and specifically calvanists who were kicked out of england and the netherlands because they couldn't stop being annoying d*cks and persecuting those around them and trying to force them to live they way they thought god wanted them to live … they didn't flea to america to avoid persecution they fled to america as a land to be free to persecute to their hearts content … calvanists were also the kind that believed in predestination that those who were rich and successful were that way because they were chosen by god and loved by him and if you were poor you were so because you deserved it and because you were essentially evil … this is the brand of christianity that was the backbone of the colonies and america so it shouldn't be any surprise that todays right wing christofacists that are some of the least christ like christians you can find on planet earth. too bad it wasn't the quakers who were more prevalent and influential in the colonies we'd have a far different country today.

I grew up a baptist. Sufice to say it scared me for life. I did however read the bible repeatedly. What I see in MAGA Christianity is an actual inversion of the the teachings of Jesus Christ. What does this mean for modern Christianity? The book of revelations is pretty clear about Christianity in end times. Those who call themselves the faithfull will turn to vile false prophets forsaking god and embrsacing the world of earthly power. Maga Christians hears the whispers that Christ heard in the desert and call this the voice of God.

what are you even talking about bruh. half the stuff you say is bout the most crazy stories but you havent said anything bout faith being the key to understanding. rhett has lost a lot of cred by changing his view and theres nothing wrong with that and i wish him luck but there is a big factor that yall are missing

As someone who's like 3 different brands of queer, I have my biases against certain aspects of religion, but when I hear people talk about what Christianity's actually supposed to be about, it really makes me sad to see how it's been twisted, and I feel bad for all those who represent what it's actually about.

Doesn’t the Bible say there will be an assassination attempt on the antichrist where he will be struck in the head but by seemingly Divine intervention he will live? Nobody ever brings this up
